@ce one executive's aunt fell down the stairs and died. we ended up with a new corporate policy. (promotions for the executive) . Imagine, if she had choked on a sandwich at lunch, we’d all be eating lunch in the parking lot like exiled pigeons.

Root Cause: chronic workplace stress, inefficient processes that prevent successful execution of basic tasks, and organizational pressures disproportionately affecting employees near retirement.
Hold the handrail and “slow down” campaign will be coming soon. People are getting preoccupied with the pressures of all things (Performance assessment, managing overloaded roles due to no backfills, managing poor quality or inexperienced offshored work)… DW should heed the warning signs. The cracks in the org are starting to show and turnover and replacement with lower paid or newer external hires only exacerbates the problem. Hope Exxon doesn’t become a case study in business schools… like Sears, Kodak or GE.
