Staying put but not optimistic

At this point in my career it feels too late to start over, which is why I have not left. If I were younger I would be gone already. There are so many issues here and no real sign that leadership plans to fix any of them.

New Employee Network

We already have BEN, Somos and PRIDE, but I think we need a new one called CEAMW. It's a group that can unite us all, and have more diversity than all the rest! The Chevron Employees Against Mike Wirth Network! Let's make it happen!

Unforseen effects

What has occurred from the reorg that might be of surprise? In the ABU a manager has been shunted into a worthless global role and they are wasting no time burning bridges clashing with long time allies. This has surpised the allies not the rest of... — read more

MW - we hope HESS can teach us to explore

Chevron (NYSE:CVX) plans to merge the Hess exploration team with its own to "challenge some of our conventional thinking" and make new discoveries, CEO Mike Wirth said Tuesday in an interview with Bloomberg. Chevron (NYSE:CVX) is cutting ~650 Hess... — read more

Upward Feedback to MW

This brilliant feedback was copied from another post and must be elevated here: In alignment with MW’s directive to “stop being nice to each other,” I think we can all agree on this upward feedback: you are running this company into the ground with... — read more

Completely over it

I stopped stressing about this job months ago. Losing it wouldn’t break me because I know my skills are in demand even in this job market. Honestly, if they want to let me go, that could end up being the best thing for me. I am already thinking about... — read more

Horizontal wells

Are these wells truly profitable or is everything going international once again?

Chevron - Project ENGINE

This is just a placeholder for rants about ENGINE. Chevron is going to get burned big time by this project and they deserve it for this brazen and stupid offshoring attempt.

One meeting scheduled at 10pm for us international. The disrespect continues.

Wave 2 Notifications

Has anyone received their notifications yet for wave too. It’s eerily quiet no communications at all from my function.

Reorgs at Chevron don’t really fix anything

Bad managers are always unaffected and they stay the same while employees are the ones who have to adjust or end up being let go. You can move to a different team or get a new manager, but it’s always the employees who feel the impact.

Animals by Muse

Listen to the song. I think much of it describes our management well. Not the last two sentences but everything else. Don't condone the last part.

Layoff in 2026?

What is the rumor? Is this why they were holding off on the Houston moves and couldn't share much about it? Unbelievable how the location move can be life changing to some of us yet there is "again" lack of information on the relo.

San Ramon Move Dates by Group?

Does anyone have any insight into which groups in San Ramon will be asked to move in 2026, which will move in 2027, and which will move in 2028? I feel like this will be helpful to know as we go into the second half of Wave 2

It's me, hi, I'm the problem, it's me

As I read MN’s obviously sincere and motivating message, I found myself relating to his wise words. Something “weighed heaviest on my heart,” too. That, esteemed colleagues, is the crushing weight of the endless piles corporate bullsh-t we are fed... — read more
