Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Widespread confusion.

I was “fortunate “to land a position. Whole team has been impacted and I have no clarity on my role nor does my boss. No one can tell me when the move to Houston will be. It says if my planning and life doesn’t matter at all. I can find out that I will have to move in a month with no previous notice. I am supposed to give my all to this company which I do because I have a work ethic, but where is their work ethic?

@a4 @a4 as someone who left with AEOI I think those who are no longer with the company are the survivors. Like coming out of a toxic relationship and realizing how bad it really was. You don’t quite realize when you’re in it. It’s once you’ve had a chance to breathe. I encourage everyone to leave. This company is on a downward spiral and you don’t owe them anything. Get out while you can, before ongoing safety issues and a worsening reputation start to impact your future opportunities.

You just described what I am seeing and hearing literally everywhere I go and no matter which group I encounter. We have lost our way big time.

I hear you. Hang in there buddy, you are not alone. We (the survivors) need to support each other. I agree this is purely a mess and different CVX world we are in!
