A few words of reason

I don’t believe that they can just get rid of 7-8k people in November. All the systems have to be converted. A lot of the jobs still have to be done, contracts have to be written, customers have to be supported, accounting processes have to happen... — read more

Why did Broadcom buy CA?

Now that the dust has settled and it's clear that Broadcom only wants mainframe business, why did they overpay 20% to buy the entire company? By the numbers, it will take over 20 years for Broadcom to break even on this.

Proxies are delivered

The proxy vote requests have been sent. Due 9/11 for tabulation prior to the 9/12 shareholder meeting. Whether you vote yea or nay on the acquisition, the only correct answer on golden parachutes (q3) is no. Bike boy didn’t earn it.

Broadcom will bring things in order

Broadcom’s model works and they will do what should have been done a long time ago. Cut the place in half. Europe has a lot of expenses and doesn’t bring in the appropriate amount of revenue. CA overall spends money on things that aren’t revenue... — read more

New Chairman?

Did I hear correctly that Mike was made Chairman? Seems odd to promote someone when half the company will be fired? Is this his reward? Doesn’t seem fair or deserving if you ask me.

We will witness MASSIVE LAYOFFS soon!

Broadcom has to remove over 1.5 billion from CA for it to make sense. If CA has roughly 11,000 employees today, that would mean they probably need to cut about 80% of CA. If you think CA isn't bloated right now, make no mistake, it is going to get... — read more
