I will also post in the Broadcom section but wanted to know if anyone had any positions on what they will do with our Legal Department. We are a very small group company, less than 100 people. Everyone is being interviewed by Broadcom and some also having second interviews. We are under the impression that Broadcom is very impressed with us and believe that many will be retained and even offered better compensation and retention payments. I’m now hearing that they have a small WWLD and we may be in trouble. Any positions that can be shared?

Interviewing isn’t acting, it’s assessing. Back when CA acquired Platinum and Sterling cultural and skill interviews happened months before the actual effective date. How else would you know who to keep and who to let go?
During the Plano town hall, Hock Tan said that CA will be integrated fully, and there is no reason to have duplicative HR, FInance, or Legal teams. Interesting that you're being interviewed already, that seems contradictory to "we can't do anything until the deal is official."
Another word that starts with "inter" is intercourse, because it's time to bend over and get f--cked. BOHICA.
If I worked in any department that Broadcom already has... legal, marketing, HR, etc, I'd be preparing to lose my job day one. Good luck out there.
Let’s be real here, everything being said about Broadcom is they operate these departments at one percent of revenue. CA is much higher by like ten times. They are only keeping a fraction of the people Based on all the research I’ve done. Some people are explaining to Broadcom what they do but don’t let that be confused with an interview. They will not keep many people in HR, Marketing, IT, Legal, Communications, etc. this company won’t change their model for CA. Fact. One more time, don’t confuse integration with interview, the only thing similar is the first four letters of both words.
I find it interesting that that are interviewing. Are they interviewing the Legal Department WW or just in NA? Is it only the LD. I haven’t heard of any one being interviewed. Will they interview everyone before they decide to keep us or not?
You need to reset your expectations. They have a very small legal department and will not be growing it by 80 to 100 people. 8 to 10 most likely.
