I have been hearing that Broadcom will get rid of full GIS team and will hand over all the business applications to vendor. Is that true. Any Updates on this GIS

Yep... if you are, or have very recently been on a performance improvement plan, watch your back.
That's only true if Broadcom lays you off after the close date. If CA lays you off your stock doesn't vest.
The logical thing is for CA to lay off everybody for trumped up causes to deny is all our severance and stock.
If you are laid off your restricted stock will vest. As long as it's not for cause, the restricted stock vests with the layoff.
Broadcom is hiring another firm for transition planning instead of using GIS.
GIS employees will be laid off before the official close date and our restricted stock won't vest.
Even with SAP and some of the other systems going it will take time to convert data etc so they won’t be able to get rid of everyone instantly.
SAP is gone too
Broadcom decided to eliminate Salesforce and other GIS-supported applications. Nearly everybody in GIS will be let go.
There has been zero communication from our EVP since the acquisition news. Such leadership!
If Broadcom fully outsources their IT, then you can safely assume 85% of folks are gone. There may be small small specialized staff here or there I would imagine.
The IT market in general seems very hot now so those with strong skills can jump now or do consulting gigs.
But I would think the see IT as trucks. It’s commoditized..,
I disagree. I've been around CA for years and this is what support managers ALWAYS say when something is going on. I agree they're not being told but that doesn't mean much... par for the course.
When managers say “focus on your work, business as usual” it means they don’t know, won’t be told, and will also be laid off.
Well all I can tell you is in Support our managers are just parroting the same old "focus on your work, business as usual" BS that they always say. We have been told nothing about what to expect or when to expect it.
SPCguy, that is not what our org has been told. We've been told we'll know well or fate well in advance of the closing date. From what I've heard, some teams have already been told they're as good as gone(think back office roles). If you read about the the other acquisitions that Broadcom has made, this is SOP.
Everything is a secret until it's revealed. Nobody outside the management teams are going to know anything until November and those that do know, won't tell.
No intetnal news in this. Is layoff happening secretly?
They outsource GIS at Broadcom, so yes, everyone is getting laid off. This has already been communicated to management.
