Did I hear correctly that Mike was made Chairman? Seems odd to promote someone when half the company will be fired? Is this his reward? Doesn’t seem fair or deserving if you ask me.

I think I read that "Chairman of the Board" carries a $100k stipend/salary. So it was their way of giving him a pocketful of cash as a thank you for boosting their stock value
F Mike Gregoire. The guy came in and did nothing to turn around the business.
Spent money building up facilities in Silicon Valley where most companies are downsizing or LEAVING due to employee expense without loyalty. Google, Facebook or CA? What kind of “talent” does CA get?
Did a bunch of acquisitions where NONE of them paid off.
Spent too much time riding a bike instead of building up the company.
Thanks a lot. F you.
"It’s always about shareholder value. We are in a Capitalist society." Not really. We're a day trader society. How many people truly buy and hold anymore? They're not owners, they gamblers hoping for a quick turnaround on their bet. This country is doomed as longs as BODs and C-level execs are slaves to quarterly reports and short term profits. The internet has made the problem exponentially worse.
It’s always about shareholder value. We are in a Capitalist society.
“Over the past five years, Mike’s deep commitment to delivering stockholder value has been an invaluable asset to our board and to our business”
Note nothing is said about the employees. Or the technology. His job was to improve “shareholder value”, which means drive up the share price. With the sale he has done just that.
Besides, it’s obvious why they would name him Chairman. The company will be dissolved in a few months, why would they bring on someone else? Who would do it?
Maybe he should rename his forum from Open Mike to “Mike Drop”.
I thought this was a joke, but no, it is actually true. This country is f***ed beyond belief. These people are simply rubbing it in our faces now.
Reward for doing nothing. Since he arrived his priority was selling CA rather growing this company. Still miss time when John swainson was CEO.
