Monthly Board Meeting = Monthly layoffs

New BOD is having Monthly meetings. One would suspect monthly steps to get company on good standing. Layoffs have to be on agenda monthly. Whatever reserves were held, Uniti and Government freebies given. The company is churning through cash... — read more

A history of bad decisions

No matter how hard I try to remember the good decisions of the leadership in the last few years, I simply can't. The leadership here has a history of bad decisions. And the reason? It's really hard to say what the reason is. Whether it is... — read more

Disagree

The thing is is, Windstream is dead. They have let go of all the good employees. The ones that are left are just hanging on..hoping to get a layoff package. They've destroyed employee morale and want you to feel lucky to have a job with them. They... — read more

Is it worth waiting for severance?

I got a pretty solid offer, not much better than what I have here but now I’m debating whether to accept and abandon all this or still wait for the package? If the offer was much better, I wouldn't hesitate.

Long term plan

I'd love for someone to tell me what a long term plan for this company is. Because, it seems to me that it does not exist at all. Leadership is so preoccupied with balance sheets that it seems to me that they are not even thinking about the future... — read more

Wholesale Shakeup in Management

Heard there was a layoff in the Whole sale at VP level. Apparently someone didn't take the ethics training, and was receiving kickbacks.

Staying here is just prolonging the agony

I am constantly afraid of being cut because it wouldn't be good for me to lose my job right now, but.. I can also no longer be anxious whether I will be the target or not, whether I will survive this time or not. Surviving layoffs, it seems to me... — read more

Don't wait for a package

I was laid off from W S a few years ago. The package wasn't that good. They said we would get 2 weeks pay for every year worked. Up to 12 weeks max. I was there over 18 years. Most of my time was with a company they purchased. I worked CT, N Y... — read more

Horizons VDI is a joke

so glad the c-suite is disillusioned by Horizons VDI being the great step forward in security and efficiency. Glaring security holes, techs unable to use the app, and overall a worse solution than 2x. Good job, CIO. Good job.

Waiting for a package

At this point, nothing would make me happier than to be replaced by a contractor, get the package and finally leave this place. How many more people are hoping to get laid off? I'm sure it's more than 50 percent, which says a lot about the... — read more

Will there be layoffs soon?

More stealth layoffs today

Getting word that the axe has fallen on some of our team. Of course, NOBODY in upper management has the stones to publicly address any of it. Hearing field operations and OSP so far, but it's all through the grapevine.

Is there any new information/ rumors about the next round of layoffs? Honestly, I would love to be a layoff target because I have less and less motivation to work in an atmosphere like this. The air is thicker than ever.
