Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Getting back on topic

Is there any new information/ rumors about the next round of layoffs?
Honestly, I would love to be a layoff target because I have less and less motivation to work in an atmosphere like this. The air is thicker than ever.

It was a not a big lay off. Most of the folks found another job internally. I believe less than 10 took the package, I was one of them.

exactly leave if you aren't happy. who says they want to be part of a lay off. go find another job that you think you will be happy with. the grass isn't greener on the other side.

Those 300 Uniti construction jobs are temporary fiber build outs are not infinite.
Elliot needs to sell off ILEC to Uniti to bundle that cancer together. The CLEC/ MSP business will be sold off on it's own. TT left some great spaghetti from both a network and business perspective. It's taking some time for Elliot to unwind all of that.

telecomrambling has us at the top of their polls of network providers MOST likely to be acquired.

Why lay anybody off internal job board has 300 Uniti construction jobs open they need to fill? Windstream is losing money. Heads will need to roll. TT won’t say layoffs are happening, just like he hasn’t ever. Windstream Network could be good but NO ONE knows how to manage from top. I laugh when I get wind of outage caused by disconnect issued to vendor. 2022 Windstream will promote more management, cut workers, have four hype sessions with glowing metrics. Unless Elliot sells company in parts to any d-mbfounded company willing to part with dollars for dinosaur half hearted engineered network. Windstream is a song on repeat.

A quick review of glassdoor shows an average rating of 3.4 out of 5 stars.
54% Recommend to a Friend
60% Approve of CEO
46% Positive Business Outlook

  1. 3 Culture & Values
  2. 8 Diversity & Inclusion
  3. 5 Work/Life Balance
  4. 1 Senior Management
  5. 2 Compensation and Benefits
  6. 2 Career Opportunities

Anyone that follows KPIs like that will call windstream a failure.

We all know there are upset lifers that didn't leave a review.
HR also skews those numbers by regularlly asking employees to leave reviews.

There was just a lay off on 12/30/21. I guess you weren't part of it. Why not just look for a job if you are so unhappy, everyone is hiring. How would you survive on unemployment?

Spoiler alert: if you are a staff employee you are a target!

Also, if you're a manager of a staff employee you are also in the cross hairs of HR.
