Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Is it worth waiting for severance?

I got a pretty solid offer, not much better than what I have here but now I’m debating whether to accept and abandon all this or still wait for the package? If the offer was much better, I wouldn't hesitate.

Move on, there is no future here.

ANYONE who is waiting for severance or that big turn around is only hurting themselves.

Look at all of the things that never panned out in the past?
Where's that software development powerhouse ? Still waiting???

I never understood why people ask this question. If you are one who would love to have the severance, you will NEVER see it in most cases. You are the kind they'll keep around to the bitter end.

If I had an offer for equal money, at a better company, I'd be gone. That simple.

Upper management doesn't care about us, only enriching themselves. Our health insurance is a joke.

What's to consider?

Why are you asking people here if you should take another offer? Are you so insecure that you can’t make a decision about your career without total strangers weighing in? Discuss this with your family (spouse if you have one) and then decide what’s best for you.
