Contractors

Any thoughts on contractors being brought in to replace full time workers?

Well..... Ummmm..... Generator service companies advised Windstream that generators should be exercised weekly.

In an effort to save money on diesel, we run them perhaps once a quarter.

So, you really have no idea if the generator will start or not. And these dorks were told this would happen. They were advised against it, and did it anyway.

Leadership.

Internal article today about contractor that monthly services gen sets at Windstream sites. Commercial power outage occurred and stationary generator also failed. Contrator connected rollup generator that was setup for 480 VAC 3-phase to site wired for 208 VAC . Trashed the rectifier modules and HVAC xformers due to overvoltage. The d-mb as a brick executive wrote up article about how great things went to resolve this issue likely to elicit a bonus for himself. Yep more contractors and executives promoted by nepotism is the solution to the Windstream woes!!!

Good luck getting contractors to understand this jumbled network consisting of dozens of sites (in a single market) that once belonged to 3-5 different companies where nothing is consistent from site to site.

This isn't a Joe issue. It's been on a downhill slide since TT has been in the driver's seat as CEO as of December 2014.

Please do so and lay me off. Unfortunately, they tried this multiple times, remember Bluestream? Few above staff manager know anything but how to kiss A. It is evident by the uppers taking a knee to kiss TT's bu-t on his Stream posts. Those doing so must know how most employees view you in a negative light for your desperate need to suK up. DISGUSTING

Problem is that we're such a train wreck that it would require multiple truck rolls on the same ticket.

With employees, not a big deal to send a guy to the same ticket 4 times because equipment didn't get shipped. Contractors get paid by the roll.

Now add that hour or two of travel each way to get to the customer.

That's the plan! Outsoucing off shore and contractors. Just robot managers to deal with all of the fall out.
