TD is going towards the rock bottom

How far are we from the rock bottom? I think that TD is not far at all and that it is very important not to get our hopes up too much that anything will change, but to look for better opportunities.

“New Strategy” Impact?

NC has been here more than a year now. He’s paid tens of millions to McKinsey buddies, and even hired a few at hefty salaries. Can anyone articulate any value we’ve seen from his “new strategy?” If so, please respond.

Market Cap - SNOW $108B vs TDC $4.5B

Snowflake built their business right in front of Teradata in their core market. How did this happen? Talk about being asleep at the wheel. And now TDC can’t even build a second place cloud product after Snowflake showed them what to build. This will... — read more

This hasn't been an innovative company for a long time

I’d love to work for an innovative company, but TD is certainly not that. There has been no innovation here for a long time. I wonder what miracle needs to happen for TD to become an innovative place again? Maybe it's better to forget that because... — read more

M.e. RIP - You Did Good as CMO

Enjoy your time off knowing you did as good a job as any CMO could do at Teradata. You put lots of lipstick on the pig. Even renamed her and put a dress on her. But customers can still smell her and that gives it away. If HA could turn the pig into a... — read more

Rare TDC’s CEOs last 10 years

This exercise will show you the main issue with the company. Unfortunately it will also depress you. I’ve lived through all these and it’s been torture. Scale of 1-10. MK (3) VL (2), OR (3), VL (2) SM (5). The BOB failed us since their main job is to... — read more

Is management allergic to new ideas or what?

Whenever new employee comes in, talented, enthusiastic, with a lot of desire to work, either he very quickly leaves this company or TD finds a way to get rid of him. From all this we can deduce that the management is actually allergic to new... — read more

“Barnes and Noble of Data Warehousing”

The perfect tagline for TDC. The new CMO can save money on a branding study. A close second is “TDC, More expensive than you think!” Or “Vantage, the industry’s only non-elastic, hard-to-provision cloud 😉”

TD on resume

I am trying to find a new job but honestly, I am a bit ashamed to have so many years of experience in TD on my resume. Is there any value in having TD on resume when looking for a new job? Or just the opposite? That would not surprise me either... — read more

Snowflake stock soars on strong revenue and Q4 guidance

Wake up TDC, results matter! No innovation, poor leadership, rookie CEO and CFO, even worse execution. Awful Q3, lowering guidance for the year and 2022 projected to be flat. Unacceptable. All the time the product teams continue to deflect, blaming... — read more

Kaiser HMO vs Cigna PPO

I got Kaiser, but thinking about changing to Cigna. Cigna seems more expensive, but at least HSA is easier since it's supported by Teradata. Anyone have feedback on Cigna costs, ease of use, etc?

Is TD a reputational damage? May it become one in the future?

I admit, stayed few years as work life balance is amazing. But now feel the pressure and want out. Wondering if TD is becoming a drag on our Curriculum or this is just internal depression and to the external world we are still a solid brand?

M.e. Fired - Should have been HA

Marketing is the least of TDC’s problems. HA successfully got SM to focus on Marketing while she delivered nothing. No CMO can help until we start building innovative new products. Congratulations Hillary!!!

ME fired.

But no surprise. It’s been coming. Let’s see if the new CMO is up to a task.

Worse than low pay
