Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Time is on your side

If you are currently employed at Teradata, time is on your side, but it's ticking fast. You have the ability to take control of your life and make the change. Change is never easy, but change will challenge you. It may bring you additional stress, but it's a different kind of stress which you have control over. Over the years I justified how Teradata allowed the perfect "work-life" balance. When my friends left for other companies, I wished them well, each time justifying why i made the decision to stay. But, a lot has changed now. It is no longer "work-life" balance. Work has become a drag and it drags into my personal life. People that make decisions have no strategic vision. People that have a vision don't have any impact on decision-making. Lack of work and focus across the organization, scrambling to save Teradata in long-term accounts, recognition for the unworthy, micro-management, bogging individuals by overloading them with administrative tasks, taking credit for other person's work. It's not that i have had enough, it's that I value myself more than this company values me.

I have a great work life balance. Really only do about 3.5 days a week when I look at normal week. In between I run a side hussle which I couldn't do anywhere else but here.
