One thing I don't get

How can the leadership continue to lay off our best employees with invaluable experience without any consequences? What's the board doing? Do they even care? The loss of talent is more than felt in the results, how come nobody is doing anything to... — read more

Marketing budget?

What's the marketing budget for Q/Snapdragon? Looking at how much they throw around with brand deals and huge events such as Hawaii each year you'd never think there were any issues? When did they start the aggressive public facing push?

Apple in San Diego

Considering about moving. Anyone knows the work culture, compensation, work-life balance, ... ?

Here’s a Q-tip

After looking for another job it's reassuring to learn that there are a number of companies now providing hybrid job opportunities. This means that I won't be required to work in the office for the full five days per week.

SVP of marketing is a Turing award winner

What is wrong with this company? We have Donny Mac from Chico State giving lectures to the press about AI. He was not talking marketing, he was not talking sales, he was talking engineering and technology. I was completely d-mbfounded when I saw... — read more

Time for a career pivot

Many companies are currently hiring and experiencing financial stability, it's important to note that in this particular case, the sales of the company may be down due to a lack of innovation and differentiation in their product or service offerings. — read more

May was worst for qcom, EBIDTA down 39.7%

Revenue is sinking faster in month over month basis. Expect huge decline of 39% in EBIDTA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) and cash flow for rest of the year. Worst is yet to come!

AI to the rescue?

How will Qualcomm make money from AI? No plan . No vision. Nothing. Just slides. What a mess

They will never admit to their mistakes

If this leadership would admit to their their mistakes so they can try to correct them, I would be more optimistic about Q. However, it is clear that they will never take responsibility for mistakes because of which this company is now stuck... — read more

Freshers and new joinees incompetent

Recent newly hired are incompetent. Don't take tasks seriously. Even in macroeconomic conditions, they take things for granted. Q overhired in other regions except US. Q is laying off engineers in US given few quarters back, we were unable to hire... — read more

Need to be acquired to be saved

Qcom needs to be acquired by some good company with strong management, otherwise, this company is done. I suggest Hock Tan to try again. Since he has good relationship with Apple, we can continue to supply the modem to Apple for a while … Meanwhile... — read more

Qcom needs to rethink its management system

The dual track management system is so wasteful. The managers don't manage, but the tech leads "manage" the day to day activities. Was this system adopted from the former Soviet system?

Today(NVDA)=1999(QCOM)Today(QCOM)=1999(NVDA)

Great reversal, everything is attributed to the core principles. Put-up 100K patents on walls , looking for easy money hit it hard. No customer of QCOM likes it's practices. Given a chance, everyone wants to sue.

Isn't natural attrition enough?

There are lots of rumors about the next round of layoffs, but I wonder how much sense it all makes given that natural attrition will be increasing. More of my colleagues have left recently than in any other period I've been working here.

META files WARN ACT

Omg … META didn’t have enough money to payoffs the media or the state of California and was forced to file WARN Act today! But yet Qualcomm still has not filed WARn act for the massive layoffs that happens on the 17th! Too many Qualcomm workers... — read more

Stock is 52 weeks low, employees fired, executives and directors get millions in reward and keep quiet. Time for employees to strike. If we don’t provide support to customers across teams for a single day, executives will submit to our demands. — read more

Qualcomm losing market share in phone as Apple gains. Expect an abrupt drop in revenue as Maverick get their own modem. And it will be YEARS before autonomous driving and Q gets any substantial rev from automotive. Nuvia is doomed, competing against... — read more

The Outlook For Qualcomm Is Grim

Basically this company is a one trick pony. With Apple share increasing and the Smartphone market saturating, Qualcomm is doomed to bleed out. Don't buy into the CA & JT BS about automotive and Nuvia. Once the market recovers or you have an... — read more
