I recently heard from a friend at AMD that layoffs are coming at amd , although there’s no official announcement yet. Does anyone know if this is just speculation, or are silent layoffs already taking place?

If the severance is 2 months + 4 weeks for every year of work, there may be people who want to get lay-ed off but are not getting lay-ed off. Did HR give an option to any employee at AMD to leave voluntarily with a package?

How does a low iq no talent product engineer from an electronics company that does opamp as there main product becomes a director and then keeps hiring all his kinds with bloated salary? Is there no checks and balances in this company at all?

Stock plunged faster than the effing Lusitania after the earnings call, down as much as ~11%. Almost as if gutting the EPYC team -- you know, the folks keeping the rest of that ship afloat? -- was a truly awful idea.
