Been working with a Q's legacy systems from last 18 years. Please suggest me few affordable programs, resources that could help me to switch up my career and stay prepared for any odd circumstances here in Q to find the another opportunity in market easily at a senior role. Because of mass layoffs around and rapid changes in tech, for sure I need to work on my work profile to get shortlisted and find the matching or better role in the industry. Please share your thoughts.

Unfortunately for haters, Q experience (non-entry level) is very valued in other tech giants especially in fruit company. In other faang, q experience gets you real engineering jobs versus the run of the mill stuff given to new grads with zero SOC experience.
This is what I dislike about some QC employees. You've been in the industry for 18 years and you can't figure out how to stand out or what to read up on?
Please, just retire if you're incapable of this.
Here is my experience since my layoffs in May. Qualcomm name definitely helps especially if you are in hardware, I think it helps with software too.
Mid size and small companies focus on skill set match, meaning they look for employer brand names (such as Qualcomm in the resume), some basic technical concepts(nothing too hard), but mainly skill set match. If you don't have 110% of the skill set they have listed on job duties, you are not in the running. Bigger companies look for technical strength and test your capability with hard technical interviews rounds. Since they prioritize testing your intelligence, they only look for 70-80% match in job duties. This has been my experience so far interviewing with various companies. The Qualcomm brand name definitely helps, rest is up to you, good luck!
