Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Everyone saw this coming

Q should have updated their compensation. Now they've lost many key folks to our competitors putting us in a worse situation. We've lost our vacation and our benefits is not as good as it use to be. There is no incentive to climb that ladder. More work, same benefits, bigger target. We need an overhaul of the entire executive team. There is no vision and no hype.

Q has one of the best benefits provided to employee. Q has the wonderful benefits team. It is hard to find the medical benefits, 401K benefits and company events like Q has. You will not find the corporate community like Q has. There are much incentives around if you wanna contribute high. Leave the org. if you don't want to be in - but don't misguide the new comers who are early in their career.

"lost many key folks" ? which company didn't ? Talk with stats. Q pays a lot higher than other company if you chart out the employee productivity vs. rewards and time. I agree that there is lack of vision and control. There are too much wastage in Q which needs to be fixed. Average resource utilization is low at company level but not talents and rewards.
