In November of 2021, nike stock traded at nearly $170 per share. Five years later and the stock is trading consistently sideways in the low $60’s, with no end in sight. Despite leadership purchases, leadership changes, constant layoffs, reorg’s, buy... — read more

Severance question
I got laid off recently. They sent a letter saying my last day is 8 weeks from then and $k amount as severance. I’m getting paid for these 8 weeks, at the end of 8 weeks do I get $k mentioned?
Really hoping this waits until April
I can't handle anything else right now. I'm already stretched so thin that losing my job this week would genuinely wreck me.
Is itc2 real?
Could not find any evidence Nike bought another building in India.
Is there any severance package for IC levels?
Like SWE II-III type titles.
Which week is it going to happen?
Just saying Q4 is too vague. I can’t handle feeling unsafe for 3 months.
Glad I left Nike
I escaped Nike and reading these posts confirms it was the right move. I can't imagine being inside that mess right now. Good luck to everyone still there, I truly hope you find your way out.
We're all replaceable by design
Every single one of us will get swapped out once someone cheaper shows up.
What would happen if all tech VP and SD were let go tomorrow?
Real question. Realistic answers please. Would we be better off? Would chaos ensue? Could the Dir level successfully form a coalition and get $hit done?
flatten all the orgs
what's up with all this vps reporting to vps? we talk about flattening nike but keep hiring more sl.
Tech - VP, Sr Dir & Dir
Does anyone know how many VPs, SDs, and Ds there are in Tech? If layoffs are announced, how many do you think Nike would need in that organization, assuming they are good‑quality leaders?
Yo Elliot
It’s pretty clear given AC has only 11 direct reports and 200 additional people took the time to upvote how awful of a leader he has been, that you have a problem with tech leaders. Just layoff and don’t replace. Leader of tech RA is likely breathing... — read more
$417 Billion in value lost
Between the all time high stock price in late 2021 and now, NKE value dilution is nearing half a trillion. Why are we holding on to our CFO?
Old Boys Network
Gen X female here… The “old boys network” doesn’t refer to us all being se-----y as--ulted or discriminated against. It was a time where the focus was sports and the athlete and grit. It was before we offshored everything to folks that know nothing... — read more
Tech Gut Coming
ITC is about to get full, what's the point of even doing anything right now? ITC crews are absolutely horrible at their jobs, but man are they cheap and desperate. Why do their jobs now so we get the axe next week?
Id--t Hill needs to go
Id--t Hill inherited Nike when the stock price was $85 and in a span of 1.5 years revenues have declined, margin down by 27%, stock in the dumps. He could have achieved this even without the layoffs. What exactly have layoffs achieved? He didn't... — read more
Global Tech Layoffs: Rumors and Facts
They'll be global US layoffs to be executed in Q4. Other regions usually take longer for legal reasons. Exact US timing likely to be around 3/20 earnings. I heard people say both before and after. PHK teams with members in ITC or PTC are... — read more
Micromanaging me into madness
New manager won't get off my back. I'm good at what I do, yet I'm constantly interrupted and second-guessed. They're relentless, especially with me. No clue if this is just bad management or if I'm being set up for cuts. As if I don't have enough... — read more

Is it time to Unionize?
1% of your salary to union dues, would buy you a ton of protection from the (allegedly) fraudulent leadership we have. Do you want to just keep rolling the dice on endless layoffs? Or have a much bigger 3rd party with all the legal resources... — read more
New flying formation under RA
What do you think? Looks like undeserving people got promoted to VPs. I've found DR in particular to be hollow and self serving. Has provided no direction and is mostly an empty vessel. Thoughts?
The idea that layoffs target low performers is a myth
It's frustrating when people claim layoffs are about performance. My whole department, from the VP down, got cut in the last round. We had strong reviews and bonuses to show for it. Sometimes it's just pure cost cutting with zero regard for who... — read more
Strategy still in the chat?

Why are critical roles never backfilled?
