I got laid off recently. They sent a letter saying my last day is 8 weeks from then and $k amount as severance. I’m getting paid for these 8 weeks, at the end of 8 weeks do I get $k mentioned?

I can't handle anything else right now. I'm already stretched so thin that losing my job this week would genuinely wreck me.
