Does anyone know how many sick days per year employees in the US get ? If unused, do sick days accumulate ? If so, does it accumulate to a max number of days ?

7 days? Wow. UK get 26 weeks (subject to sign off by a doctor might I add) but that's 6 months full salary.
7 days a year, use them or loose them, and you can use them any time for any reason and can't get in trouble in anyway. Most people I work with save them for holidays like Christmas or thanksgiving to have extra time off or even save them and take a whole week off at the end of the year.
Seven unplanned days per year for any reason, no carryover year to year.
