Information

I feel sad, guilty and burdened. I didn’t choose HR as a career to ruin lives or to help a greedy, mismanaged company do bad deeds. This is not meant to scare and I am fearful to post as I am under NDA but I need to help if I can. In a few weeks there will be another layoff. If you are over 50, overpaid, under performing, or your function can be AI replaced you are at risk. Please be prepared. I will not log into this site again, and I will not be able to provide any more information. I am praying for all of you who may be impacted.

2.5 years and an NDA to come up with an Out of the Box product called "ODW!" LOLOLOL

FKNG HILARIOUS!

The 10s of millions Dell spent on this "ODW" bs and the countless layoffs they did in order to fund it and THIS is what it looks like?

My minivvan has a similar interface and that was only 120k. Except it's not leggy af or clunky and doesn't take 5000 clicks to get where I want to go!

ODW is actually hilariously bad

Dell spent all this money, made 30k employees sign on NDA, took 2.5 years to create only to roll out with a literal "out of the box" pre-configured and pre-created web portal that is not even customized for Dell? The entire interface looks like what I look at in my freakin CAR screen interface LOL. They literally used the default settings from Oracle to make this lol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvRwxMUPuHQ

Not sure what I was expecting but, this sure af was not it. Figured it'd be fancy smancy and at least "cool" looking but it's so basic and boring. Money well spent...

I genuinely feel bad for those who are soon forced to use a half broken tool

The SUPER TOP SECRET ULTRA SECRET NDA project that everyone knows about called Maverick is getting close to it's official "roll out" live day and it's so far from ready that it's comical.

Sadly, many of you - specifically sales, ISG/CSG - are going to have the misfortune of "testing" it out. I know nothing about what these new tools are, what they are replacing (apparently DOMS is being "replaced" but that's been said for the last 20 years LOL) but I will say that you are all in for a horrible time when it goes live.

I think the deadline/go live date is mid May and so much of it is STILL being tested right now. Keep in mind the OG "go live date" was in February...

Godspeed my friends.

NDA March Madness!!

Heard there are 20 active NDA’s across the company at the moment. They’re overlapping and it’s apparent. This web is going to unwind and the employees should know. What it means can be either dire straights or some major reorg for the better. On this site it’s probably the dire straights.

YOUR RIGHTS! READ & SHARE & DO.NOT.SIGN.

AVAYA LETTER IS A concerning and serious situation. Here's what you should know and how to report it:

What makes this potentially problematic
Non-disclosure agreements can be illegal or unenforceablewhen they attempt to prevent employees from reporting workplace violations, discrimination, or illegal activity to government agencies. The timing (2 years later) and the conditioning of payment on signing are red flags worth scrutinizing carefully.
Steps to take
-- First, do not sign anything until you've had a lawyer review it. Many employment attorneys offer free consultations, and this is exactly the kind of situation where a 30-minute review could protect you significantly.
Where to report
The right agency depends on what the NDA is trying to cover up or restrict:
NLRB (National Labor Relations Board) at nlrb.gov— if the NDA restricts your right to discuss wages, working conditions, or union activity with coworkers. This is one of the most common NDA violations.
EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) at eeoc.gov — if you believe the NDA is designed to suppress discrimination or harassment claims.
SEC Whistleblower Program at sec.gov/whistleblower — if it involves financial misconduct, which is relevant given Avaya's bankruptcy history.
Your state labor board — many states have stronger worker protections than federal law, especially California, New York, and Illinoi.
State Attorney General — most AGs have a consumer/worker protection division that investigates predatory employer practices.

+++Practical advice for the thread+++
The fact that multiple ex-employees are receiving this email is actually significant — collective complaints carry more weight with regulators than individual ones!! If others in that thread are experiencing the same thing, filing jointly or coordinating complaints to the NLRB would strengthen the case considerably.
You are legally protected from retaliation for filing complaints with any of these agencies, and you cannot be denied money you're legally owed simply for refusing to sign an NDA.

Does anybody know what project CASINO is actually for?

It's not an NDA project or a secret but, while not part of it I know a few who are and nobody knows WHY this is so important to Dell.. Obviously there is a reason but that reason is a mystery to everyone.

My understanding, at least from what I've heard is that it's about securing labs with fireawlls that are monitoring East to West traffic, rather than just N - S/ traffic. Which to me means that a lab was breached at some point and hacker had full reign to traverse inside the network...

But, I don't think that's the case because...

If it were a breach of confidential information/customer data then by law, Dell would have had to disclose that within 30 days so, I don't think it was a breach/hacker related. My personal guess is that it was ransomware and Dell paid up.

I hate how the NDA project got pushed back a quarter because I feel that's going to affect EVERYTHING

It was supposed to go live in February however, I guess sh!t didn't get done fast enough or something, and has been pushed back a quarter. I think it's May or something now, idfk... JC literally said "to be clear, this won't be pushed back further." - aka if it's not, heads will be flying.
At least that's what I've been told by someone who is part of the NDA thing, so i dont know how true this actually is.
but this NDA thing has been Dell's NUMBER 1 PRIORITY for the last year and so I'm worried because it got pushed back, this will affect raises, or even cause more layoffs than usual in Feb.

I'm curious if "Project M" was leaked by employees or if DELL leaked it themselves

BI - Business Insider has an entire story about this NDA thing and much of it is accurate however, I can't help but wonder if it was EMPLOYEES who leaked all this or if Dell did it to try and gain interest or something...

Kind of how Apple leaks product info/details about new products.

Dell isn't "selling" a new product here but what they are doing is moving towards a new platform and it's possible by Dell leaking this, it'd make customers/future customers think "hey, I like what they are doing! Let's think about Dell instead of HP!"

Paid for Silence At Altice USA

Laid off employees were compensated for signing a NDA disguised as a severance agreement. Former employees have to waive free speech, the ability to sue or join class action lawsuits, agree not to testify in lawsuits unless subpoena but notify them. They are restricted on where they can seek future employment (no competitors). There are stories of people being laid off less than 2 years from lifetime retirement benefits. Lay-offs camouflage the loss of earning as the company is plummeting because quality and qualified employees are replaced by cheaper overseas labor. Loyalty is expected but not given.

My guess is that there were people at SVB, KPMG, and state and federal agencies that knew--and looked the other way. There always are. Imagine being so vulnerable that twitter trolls could shut the doors. #mbs #nda
