Are we in massive debt over HIH? Is that why so many quality people are being laid off? To pay off that debt?

Layoffs
If you believe the layoffs are less than 20%, then either you’re seriously misinformed or you’re not actually working at Qualcomm.
And if you’ve been here for more than 10 years, be careful- you could be in trouble.

UHG UHC layoffs?
Are layoffs happening as frequent with the UHH/C folks or is it primarily only Optum? Their layoff boards don’t have nearly as much noise as this one.
Layoffs 2/26
Will layoffs definitely happen 2/26? Is this the last round for the “2,000 employees”? Does anyone have any insight on which areas?
Just rip the band aid off
I hate waiting around knowing if I’m next. No one communicates anything and it’s just a horrible feeling. How are we supposed to get work done knowing we could be next?
The next Intel layoffs scheduled for July 15, 2026
Intel's next scheduled major job eliminations for 2026 are set to take effect on July 15, 2026. These cuts specifically impact manufacturing hubs, including four campuses in Oregon, where worker counts for this round jumped nearly fivefold to approximately 2,400 roles.
This 2026 wave is part of a broader initiative to slash an additional $1 billion in operating expenses throughout the year to reach a target global headcount of approximately 75,000 employees.

How is it going in Verizon India
Leaders are clueless. Everything is a priority as everyone needs to save themselves. No support from your supervisor. Only burnout remains with us. Layoff or rebadging dates are mystery.
Save yourself and find an opportunity outside. Otherwise you will also be thrown out as Shankar's photo from cafeteria. Don't get used in place where is absolute no clarity. Invest only on yourself
Silly question for anyone laid off…
Has anyone been able to successfully negotiate severance extension?
The layoffs can be stopped
To know you‘re close to the end is a kind of freedom
You don’t know how strong you are until strength is your only option
It is difficult to get people to demand change when their salary depends on them not understanding it
We are replaceable, but our unique value can make us irreplaceable if we fight together
Who will step up and create a voice for us to demand change? I‘ll be waiting patiently.
I wonder if this news will affect layoffs in 2026

New Graduate Layoff Question
I recently started as a new graduate with under a year of experience. How likely is it that I could be laid off? I would provide more details, but I am concerned about revealing my identity.
U.S. Based Sales Support Role - Laid off today
Just got the axe today, no more resting and vesting. Didn’t expect it, was anyone else impacted today?
How do you handle being made to train your replacement?
It's happening to more and more people on my team. I have no idea what I'd do in that position, but it just feels so cruel and demeaning.
Any update
Does anyone know what’s going on today? Executives are all onsite and leaders have hinted to fires going on
Laid off last August and tried to apply for a position only to be rejected 10 minutes later...
WTF!
Is T-Mobile not considering people that were laid off at all?! OR DO I have a not rehirable status to my name 😭
2/23 Layoff Tracker
If layoffs are happening today it would be helpful if people could post their title, location and how they were notified.
Next layoff date?
Anyone have any info?
PFUS Team Score 50
So the leaders who were rewarded for delivering the 180 and 120 team scores will be fired for delivering a 64 and 50, right? Right? What a joke, if this were a Japanese run company they would have quit out of shame.
Next Layoff Details
Can someone describe what the process is for deciding which round you are a part of for the layoffs? I know I was marked because of what I was linked to workwise and sus behavior this year, but what determines what wave you are a part of? I have nothing to do and not sure why I am still here with nothing to do.
Here we go again
Mini layoffs have arrived, at least in building 1. Anyone else impacted?
Buckle up
Why do we never let people know who have left or has been laid off. Everything is one big secret. Maybe its different in other divisions but here in our schools division, communication is a joke. Then you expect us to believe that as managers you didnt have a say in or even knew who they were gonna let go. Well if my name is on the departure list, know I am going to tell everyone. I have asked for weeks and have been told the same line by each person I asked. Almost word for word. Like it was scripted. Buckle up, its gonna be a real intersting day. #Projectconverge

Layoffs before bonus payout
Getting word that layoffs will be ramping up before corporate bonuses are set to be announced and paid out. If you are let go before the bonus actually hits your direct deposit, then you will get absolutely nothing for enduring last year. Heads up and brace yourself for once again another large round of layoffs. Meanwhile, all the VPs and above are getting extra perks their way (trips, special luxury gifts, stock).
Additionally, if you are fortunate enough to stay, your annual compensation review will probably be on existing since they’ve forced all management to not give high employee reviews to prevent low incentive increase and lowest bonus payouts.
End of March Layoffs
Take this with a grain of salt but I heard from two unrelated sources that there will be a 1K cut at the end of March with the focus on mgmt (Dirs, SVPs...) We'll know soon enough but that layer is fairly fat and this is exactly where they would get the biggest bang for the buck (and the impact will be minimal).
Finance ops external job posting
Finance ops has an external job posting for a credit and collections analyst. Really? Just months after layoffs? The job description says to resolve billing and payment disputes. Can this not be done by AI or competent management? Does the executive leadership not have any prior operations experience that got this approved? Vz needs efficiency and value. Not more inefficient army building with overlap and chaos which directly caused the need for layoffs in the first place. Does Dan know people are posting external manual processing roles just months after layoffs???
Lack of execution
Still waiting on severance documentation.
Management isn’t providing much help
The 1-800 employee number hung up 3 times on me. Finally got a ticket in to figure out where my severance is. Good job outsourcing to India - really paying off
Found out they eliminated my position to give it to another person - is that even legal?
Why not just get it over with now?
We're 90% through, and the last 10% could happen anytime between now and forever, just to keep us on edge? Sigh.
Heartbroken
Perhaps it’s because l’m young and still early in my career, but watching a mentor I admired get canned yesterday was one of the most heartbreaking things I ever experienced. We’re not talking about the average Joe, but an advocate who went up and beyond for everyone, and was so crucial to the systems and applications that we supported.
I can’t say it comes as a surprise. People have always warned me, but yesterday cemented that we really are just a number at the end of the day. Performance doesn’t matter.
I don’t know how my team’s gonna move forward after losing someone critical. This is not the same company I was excited about joining a few years ago.
