Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

If I worked in Texas for 3/4 of the year, then move to NY and am on the list to be let go, do I get a WARN notice?

Even if I’ve not worked in NY for a full year.

Whatever the last place you were in. I was in NC but remote and my boss was in NY, so I got NY warn period.

It matters because they would get an extra 30 days paid WARN and they might qualify for NYSunemployment benefits which are higher than Texas …. So those higher taxes come with higher social safety net benefits… wveryne wants to move to Yexas / Florida for lower taxes but then realize how sc--wed you maybe wiuthoit the access of those tax funded benefits…not that that makes nyc higher cost of living easier compared to Texas.

Does it matter? If you're on the list - you're on the list - take this paid time to find another job or retire.
