Union

I heard there is a union planning meeting happening next week. Those that are in the know say that there are enough signatures to get started and additional recruitment is beginning soon.

RR5: what a garbage building.

I am a new hire visiting HQ. Wow. Talk about uninspiring headquarters. This is supposed to be Dell's Valhalla? Looks like Dell never got passed 1996 RR5 total joke. I am literally afraid of carcinogens in the air due to the ongoing construction... — read more

How to deal with a string of layoffs?

October, November, beginning of the next year. There will be nothing but layoffs all the time. I’m among those who would prefer to keep their job, at least for now. I haven’t had much time or the energy in the past few months to spend on job search... — read more

WFR package

Any lawyers in the house? If you take a WFR package, what options do you have with a class-action lawsuit? Can you participate or do you forfeit this option by taking a package?

Are OBMs on the chopping block?

Does anyone have any insight on Online Business Managers being impacted in the upcoming WFR? We already went back to the office but that's no job guarantee.

Does anyone have layoff details per organization

I think most know at this point that we have layoffs for October, November and a major one in Feb.. but does anyone have the actual percentage or teams that will be impacted? Many organizations have started to merge so it's expected that duplicate... — read more

Comment about Sales for your Area

A big driver about all that is happening is actual Sales. Comment on where you are for the second half in terms of percentages for your area. We are at two months into the 3rd quarter. In my area we are at 3%. Some parts are doing OK, but some... — read more

RTO up in the air!

My leadership doesn't even know what is going to happen. VPs are trying to get clarity. We have no place to sit in the RR office. For the folks in different states - something coming down is not off the table. Nothing is known or straight forward for... — read more

What’s the opinion when you read from the SEC that your founder and boss has sold almost a third of his ownership in the company? It’s definitely not a normal sale for diversification purposes. Something is brewing.

What will happen sales remotes

The email said that there will be communication coming in the next few weeks about the sales remote people who can't / won't go to an office What will this communication be ?

Sites outside of Dell are now being blocked.

You might be on your 15 minute break but that does not make it okay to Google a recipe for dinner or check something personal on your work system. If you do, get ready to see the blocked messaging informing you that it's not work related and if it is... — read more

What is the current separation package for Round Rock Texas?

Just checking to see if anyone knows what the current separation package is for US/Texas. I have no way to know right now if I'll get hit by WFR but I like to plan for it just for safe measure and knowing what the payout will be is helpful.

People are wrong about the rto

have heard that the 5 day thing is definitely for sales only and the other groups will remain on 3 days or remote Anyone hear different?

I can’t stand when anyone say

that we should be grateful for our jobs. We all are skilled people, and we shouldn’t be grateful to anyone for the opportunity to make them piles of money. That's a defeatist position which begs us to become submissive and not to look for our own... — read more

Dell is my family

I am in fear of these layoffs that are constant. I've invested 30 years of my life to Dell and see my colleagues as my real family. I don't have any life outside work as I'm married to the job. How could Dell get rid of somebody as loyal and invested... — read more

Loss of talent

How much more loss of talent do you think Dell can take? For years we've been seeing the best people shown the door during cuts. Some leave on their own. So much experience and institutional knowledge is gone by now that I'm genuinely worried about... — read more

For the RTO … I was remembering last year when Dell started requiring people to return for three days a week… there was a scarcity of seating arrangements, monitors, chairs, and the whole thing was a mess. And they actually had a 4 to 5 month... — read more

I've been doing this wrong

After seeing who got laid off in the last round and who is still around, I'm determined to switch gears. I'm done working hard, I'll be working smart from now on. Why put in the work when all I need to do to be safe is kiss the right behinds? At... — read more

I don’t care anymore

I’m even hoping to be laid off come next round in October. Who would want to work in these conditions and with no prospects? I just can’t stand this atmosphere anymore, and I can’t watch people being worried day in and day out. We should either learn... — read more

Where are the posters who were claiming the layoffs were over? Some even claimed to have it on “good authority from people high in the organization “?

Future of remote

Do remote workers have any future in dell, should they all switch to hybrid

Got stuck in Dell for too long

I have been refusing to see how steep the decline has been and have hoped for things to improve, falsely believing it’s rather a cycle and not a downward spiral. I missed several opportunities to move on. I can’t know what would have happened in... — read more
