Badge tracking

Are they ditching the tracking software and leaving it down to your manager to monitor your 5 days a week?

The global offices I visited had badge-in and out. Even stalls, with arm that raises to go through, so there was no tailgating. Wouldn’t be surprised if they did that in RR but then they’d have to spend money to install those systems. Maybe the toilet paper will get even thinner.

Yeah, but they also say that if you aren't in compliance with the new policy you're subject to disciplinary action. But then they don't state what it means to be in compliance, is that a set day per quarter like before?

On DS's call today, he said they would still be flexible if you have family stuff, or doctors appointments, whatever may cause you to work remote those days. So it seems like it's up the manager to make the call if a person is in compliance or not, which is kind of subjective.

So many questions would be answered if they just had the actual policy published at the time of the announcement.

The FAQ’s show that workday will continue to track door access, however they will be getting rid of the traffic light system for coming to he office. So no green/blue flags anymore. Just a number.

They will take the lazy way out and continue the “treat them like children” style of installing a badge out station. They will say it’s for “campus security” because this company lies like breathing now days.

The badge tracking software is the same as it has been for decades. They have always known who was in what building on what days etc, they just made a dashboard visible. That won't go away.

Good riddance. It was often inaccurate.

I read on another post the overheads are high. No idea if that's true.
