The advantages of getting rid of unnecessary layers of management?
Look at the US Tech Support side: you will see layers and layers of managers, supervisors and analysts that really do nothing for the company, looks like fractals- repetitive layers of management that all look the same spread over several states. You... — read more

Next stop bankruptcy?
Catastrophic fourth quarter earnings are out. Q4 2022 revenue was down around 25% compared to Q4 2021. That's $4.8 billion in Q4 2021 and $3.8 billion in Q4 2022. The cherry on top is a $3.27 billion "goodwill impairment charge." Whatever that could... — read more

Thoughts? Let's hear them
North Star takeaway
My takeaway from the North star presentation was there will be no raises except for a very few employees.
Stop dreaming of a profiting company.
When the copper is sold off; Lumen stock will explode! How can someone think that is going to happen? I recall at one time USWest stock was at *$86 a share when copper was the only material in the market. Since then this company has passed the CEO... — read more
Lumen does not want employees.
Call it for what it is; Lumen does not want to have employees on payroll. HireVue was activated last year which is preventing past experienced employees re-entry to the company at a time where the company needs more staff. The union contract was... — read more
No one wants to work here anymore
My crew is terribly understaffed. People who were hired left in record time. Does anyone want to work here anymore? It seems that the reputation has hit the rock bottom.
Management
To all management, 1st level, 2nd level and beyond. If you have never done the job, not one tech respects you. You can learn as much as you want but you will never gain respect. This just happens to come from the Spokane area. Most real... — read more

There is no well-conceived concrete plan

All Time Low - Lumen hits the $6 handle
Congratulation to the Lumen Executive Team for loading $15B in market cap since 2018. Shareholders should be demanding clawbacks on compensation after Lumen enter the $6 handle territory in the stock market.
Good Luck Brightspeed!!
I hope the new company is successful. Does anybody know how many employees have moved to Brightspeed?
Another All Time Low
Lumen Technologies (NYSE:LUMN) stock drifted down 4.8% on Thursday morning to hit a new 52-week low of $7.28. Shareholder’s expect claw back on all restricted stock options. Where is Mr. 4th Generation and the greasy HR dude.
All Time Low
Thanks Jeff and the 4th Generation leadership team for that short but fantastic race to zero. Shareholders can’t that you enough for your marketing prowess, operation excellence, and customer success.
This has become a very depressing place.
Maybe it's just me. Maybe I think that the grass is greener elsewhere, and it's not. Is there anyone who is comfortable working at Lumen and is not in a hurry to make an exit?
Massive Layoffs Coming
