Thread regarding Lumen Technologies layoffs

Raises

Raises are coming for non-represented employees. They want to keep good talent.

Got out 3 years ago and couldn’t be any happier! Stress? Gone. Pay up! Leave these jokers in the wind as they don’t care about you! Pathetic management!

Got out a year ago with a 35% raise lumen tried to match but after years of no raises and being treated horribly i left for greener pasture. Absolutely zero regrets. I have a feeling that a lot of talent has jumped from this sinking ship already.

There is zero business reason to add a religion ERG, other than to stoke division and animosity. Totally unprofessional and inappropriate.

They have no plans to give non union personnel raises. Work longer, harder and oh while your at it READ A BOOK CLUB. They are standing right on the line with their new Woke statements. Stay away from my personal time and my religion is my business!

KJ stated early on that she believed in yearly merit increases and our former Head of HR, in a surprising about face from his days of kissing JS a$$, agreed with her, as he wiped her brown stuff off his nose.
But... she said with a caveat... regular raises wouldn't happen until we returned to profitability which she stated was end of 2024 or into 2025. If that happens, I could see them maybe giving us a token raise in 2025 as they try to put a new system in place. So probably the earliest we may see a regular raise plan instituted, would be 2026. She was talking about us corporate salaried types and obviously not those who are union represented who have the power to negotiate increases.

Now we can debate if she will be successful and if the company will indeed turn a profit in a 2 or 3 years, or go under, be sold, taken over, or what ever... but if the profitablity does occur, are they going to make up for our sacrifice, hardwork, and our lost wages? uh... NO!

I seriously doubt that SLT members and other EVP/VP level folks have been doing without raises all these years.

from what I have seen, I'd be very surprised if anyone got even a 3% raise

With Biden inflation we need at least 12% to break even.

CWA received 14% raise for next years.
IBEW and nonreps deserve 14% for next 3 years.
