Complicit

Sadly, let’s admit that we have failed ourselves. How many of us watched as people were laid off and then we all came on here and wrote angry responses about what should be done and then did nothing. We sat happy that we were not impacted and hoped... — read more

We used to care…

CDW used to be a great place to work. We used to care, we used to develop, we used to honor our coworkers. Once we started doing layoffs and realized it help led our books, we just can’t stop. Yes, some are poor performers, but most are long time... — read more

Was your age a factor???

Were there any laid off that were over 40 or even 50? Please respond with your age only (not name) if you were laid off or know of coworkers in your areas that were let go who may be of this age. I am thinking of hiring a law firm and wanted to know... — read more

Configs?

Was anyone from configs impacted by the layoffs this week?

Where is the Executive Leadership?

After the shenanigans of this week, I can’t help but wonder where is the CEO? It’s been sheer silence- internally and publicly? Is something going on? She hasn’t been since at the office…

Layoffs started 7/16/2025

Messaging is major restructuring is taking place. People are who have not been laid off are being forced to change teams and learn new scopes of work. How come CDW did not report this under the WARN Act?

No Reasons Given

They let go quality delivery coworkers who had good utilization and revenue... Coworkers who were in technology areas CDW leadership claims they want us to grow in. Many of these cuts make no business sense and it is crushing moral because it implies... — read more

These layoffs are the final warning

From this point on, my full effort is going into finding another job. With the direction this company has taken, it’s no longer a question of if , it’s when each one of us will be cut.

The Layoffs Will Continue Until...

There's an old saying, "The beatings will continue until morale improves." At CDW, it seems the saying is, "The layoffs will continue until executive management becomes competent." There have been so many rounds of layoffs over the last 4+ years... — read more

Extra work starts now

Each team that lost people will be expected to pick up their work. There will be no backfilling, no pay raises, nothing. I've seen it happen before and it'll happen again. Yes, we might still be here, but we're just as sc--wed as those who were laid... — read more

What about all the dead weight up top?

Wouldn’t it make more sense to eliminate a handful of redundant middle management roles across these teams—positions that contribute little tangible value—rather than cutting the technical staff who are actually on the front lines doing the hard... — read more

BTW a company wide email wasn't sent by the CEO today. Late in the day we get a cryptic email saying hard decisions had to be made for CDW to move forward. The board needs to act fast and get CDW back on track! What's falling faster sales or moral. — read more

Data

How big was the hit on the Data group and who was affected? I left in April 2023. For the folks still there, good luck. For the ones departing, I wish you an easy transition and hope you find something even better. Good luck.

Too many older employees are being affected

Not everybody laid off is 50+ but to me it seems that the majority of those affected are. Which means that this is not about performance in any way, shape, or form. I just hope that those who were cut decide to sue. There's a reason why age... — read more

So sorry to everyone affected

This may not have been the dream job, but these are tough times. I truly hope you all find something better soon. Being laid off is absolutely not a reflection of your worth or your skills. We’re all just a number to them.

Something is going on

Something is happening right now. Yesterday leadership received messages to be in Chicago by last night for meetings today.

CDW changes (Small Business) blowing in the wind

This is a follow-up to being the average middle-aged white guy at CDW; the message is that your services are no longer needed. It doesn't matter whether you have experience or Channel contacts. Executive leadership has always played around with... — read more

What's Everyone's Thoughts on the Olympics?

I think it is exciting for us to be a sponsor of Team USA, but I am very concerned about the cost and the fact we are three years away from the Olympics. According to Copilot, the lower end of that type of sponsorship is $50M. Seems that is a... — read more

Buckle up, everyone

No, Chris is not leaving, and CDW just made a large acquisition with the word on the street being that it is under- performing, so probably not that either. My guess is that new executive leadership is being hired under Chris to raise the bar on the... — read more

Job Verification from HR

I've been hearing rumors that CDW verifies the job title and duration and rehire status. What else are they verifying? Salary?
