Thread regarding CDW layoffs

Contractors first to go?

Does anyone know from past layoffs if full time contractors were typically the first to be cut? Seems likely but wasn’t sure if that was the practice here.

I saw them. They were great but the poster may have taken them down because people are scared and it is the wrong time to make layoff jokes.

Did anyone see those posts with the very funny jokes that were posted a couple days ago? The poster took them down but they were really amusing. Did I dream that or were they really there? In these turbulent times, they put a smile on my face. Did anyone see them?

The contractors are cut based on needs but they are not mass layoffs with the intent to save money. Jobs get moved overseas or given to contractors to save money. The same will continue but like you said, not today.

Contractors and FTE are being cut every week. They learned to keep it small to avoid all the reporting in different states

Yes- The last ones out the door will be BCG, Bain and Altman. They will pat the execs on the back as they leave. "Thanks team- its been a good run. $$$orry this one didn't work out(for you). We'll shut off the lights. "

No. They are cheaper and dont have expensive benefits provided ? Why eliminate them first? They normally go with insiders . It’s business 101.
