Thread regarding CDW layoffs

Is there something I don't know?

In the last few months, there's been a mass exodus in HI, and sales. Just in the last two weeks HI lost two tenured directors (leaving on their own). Either something is on the horizon I'm not privy to, or people are just tired of the layoffs, poor salary increases, decreased bonus plans, constant re-orgs and enough is enough. It seems there's plenty of other options out in the market right now for people in the same space.

I think we all can agree the stock is not in a good place. I hope this earning release this week goes well and our stock starts to rise again.

@270 “It's only slightly off its high is $220+”

It’s really isn’t.

It hit $189 in mid May 2025 and that’s rhe highest it’s been in almost 12 months.

It’s been no higher than $155 in the past 6 months.

That’s some way off your $220 figure.

136.03 USD -30.80 (-18.46%) over the past year.

But hey now, looks like our CEO had a wonderful time on Prez Trip, so all is well and nothing to see here.

@18f Good for you! CDW has become one of the worst places to work — morale is depleted across the organization, and it’s impossible to ignore.

“you guys act like only Sirius took a pay cut, legacy CDW and due to all the "great" changes since the acquisitions”

Exactly !!! I ended up at CDW through an acquisition (not Sirius) and had all my benefits downgraded. It was literally the first thing they did.

@107

“The stock is really doing well this week”.

If you class a rise of 1.6% as “doing really well” then you’re easily pleased !

I am finally exiting the organization after many years of service. I thought I would be more upset, but honestly I just feel relieved.

@107 lol.....the whole market is up significantly the last week or so......the kn--e will continue to fall soon, it's nothing CDW did for the upward action.

The stock is really doing well this week! I think people are finally hearing about our cloud and AI capabilities run by the Mission CEO who is the only person in the whole company who knows what he is doing!!

@z1 you guys act like only Sirius took a pay cut, legacy CDW and due to all the "great" changes since the acquisitions, I'm making 70% of what I used to as well, needless to say that's the effort I give........Sirius were overpaid anyway from my experience with them, they should feel lucky they got what they got. CDW was fleeced by that acquisition.

Exactly, same thing happened with Amplified IT, nobody is going to stick around to make 50k to 150k less the next year.

@x8 They were probably too busy watching their $50k stock options vesting schedule hit the 3 yr mark. (That's what was given to stay after the acquisition)

Don't worry...what will be left is a majority of coworkers who are contractors and have a CDW autosig but really don't care what goes on because they work for a seperate entity CDW has a contract with (they work for them and not CDW).
Notice how long things take currently as opposed to 10 years ago...even with all the $ spent on new software that's supposed to make collaboration among others things easier? Replace 100 for 10 people via a staffing firm...no need to provide any of those people 401k or healthcare or other benefits since CDW doesn't directly employ them. Meanwhile those savings aren't going to improve comp for the legacy CDW still left. So many leaders have left and the replacements from outside...the special sauce is gone. Only the large accounts get the same attention and urgency as in the past...everyone else can get the same partnership from any other competitor.
What's CDW stand for again?

If it was anybody with the Sirius logo still in their auto-sig, then good riddance! :)

@ez Sirius legacy coworkers took major pay cuts solely to match CDW’s lower compensation model. These cuts had nothing to do with performance and everything to do with how CDW chooses to value its people. CDW continues to underpay and undervalue its coworkers compared to competitors, widening the industry gap. Leadership needs to wake up — experienced, talented, hardworking coworkers are walking out for better pay, better work‑life balance, and companies that actually recognize their worth.

They weren’t great. Very downhill performance and barely showed up to meetings except their own.

Could literally just go down the list on names. Just about everyone that came from Sirius which made it successful (leadership, engineering, sales) - has moved on (see LinkedIn). The awards from the acquisition have reached their vesting schedule - so no need to stick around on a sinking ship.

There was a huge shift in compensation and role expectations for large swathes of sales and ITS. I think some of the Sirius folks were looking at 50% pay cuts.

@bh speculation or informed statement? I feel like something’s a brewing. Either a poor Q1 layoff or yet another resource action. After all, gotta pay for the slalom folks and collection of new VPs somehow.

Both were from the Sirius acquisition. That actually makes 3 with JA in the past several months. Likely related to the May re-org planning underway.
