Mike Lyons gets 70 million in year one while cutting staff, forgoing bonuses or salary increases for many if not all, stating market and company talking points around why they cannot spend money. All while taking 70 million 😂

Max cap being cut from 150% to 125% so they can take that off the balance sheet and not have to pay out that additional time when we're all RIFd.

The cuts have taken place, things are where they, hopefully, want them to be, so I'm going to assume there won't be additional cuts any time soon?

I didn't realize the layoff stress here was bad enough to make someone leave for less money.

Mount Vernon School District staff expressed dissatisfaction with recent personnel actions. The district cut 13 educator roles and transferred 41 teachers. Mankato Clinic announced employee layoffs on Tuesday. Just under 100 employees were affected across all clinic locations. This represents about 10% of their total workforce. The layoffs were effective immediately. CEO Aaron Johnson cited significant financial and operational challenges.

Pittsburgh Public Theater announced the elimination of 11 staff positions on May 19. This decision follows the theater's board vote to merge with Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera. The merger is set to finalize in January 2027. Financial constraints and foregoing a traditional fall season necessitated the staffing changes. Former managing director Shaunda McDill's contract was also not renewed days prior.

Looks like that SF lost her mind. There was a couple of urgent L2 level leadership meetings and additional cuts and savings asked. Is it the aim of SF to destroy the company? When she will finally understand that leading the company is way more then financial numbers? Is she finally loosing her support to lead this Titanic?

Can someone imaging she survive as a CEO any longer? I never seen something like this. Only Kelly Beaty could be worse choice.

Erie Mayor Daria Devlin's administration is cutting city jobs. Six city jobs are being cut or vacated. The city faces a $12 million budget deficit for 2027. Expense cuts are also mandated. The administration seeks financial assistance from local entities.

Those changes tend to drop out of nowhere but they matter too much to only find out when cuts actually happen.

Major U.S. employers issued the fewest layoff announcements in May. USA TODAY tracked 250 mass layoff notices affecting 32,000 workers. Spirit Airlines accounted for nearly 7,000 of these job cuts. The airline announced a shutdown and ceased all flight operations. This occurred despite U.S. employers adding 172,000 jobs in May.

This new interview by Dan is the nuke. Feels like everything everyone will be impacted by the news from Dan. He is literally telling us major cuts in high volume will be the norm. Expect layoffs in perpetuity. Everyone in CS is vulnerable. No such thing as safe roles. This will create a lot of chatter in the company expect aggressive moves coming from the top

Electrolux Consumer Products will lay off 1,255 employees in Anderson, South Carolina. These job reductions are scheduled between July 18 and December 18. Republic National Brewing Company is permanently closing its Lexington facility, affecting 451 workers. Univar Solution USA, Thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services, Hengst Filtration, and Swiss Krono also announced job cuts. In total, seven companies recently notified over 2,100 workers of upcoming terminations.

Fixing this would take visionary leadership with courage, long-term commitment, and out-of-the-box thinking. Nothing even close is on the horizon. Fiserv will continue until there's nothing left to shovel over to leadership and shareholders. We'll keep existing in an ever-deteriorating culture until we're incapable of managing the cuts, handling the ever-increasing workload, or are replaced by offshore labor.

EPISD declared a financial exigency. This decision followed a four-hour meeting and a 5-1 vote. The declaration allows for cutting 54 teaching positions. Forty contract positions are also being cut. These measures aim to address the district's financial deficit.
