Short post and ready to be flamed. I have worked from home for a decade with Dell and support work from home as a whole. It is far more productive for me and the customers we manage. So does some of the team. But I am not the problem. The problem... — read more
We will never go back to the way things were before'
Looks like Jeff was playing to the crowd. This looks like a WFR without the payoff. Tell me im wrong?
I would rather agree to a smaller paycheck than RTO
I think I'm not the only one?
WFR please. Or offer voluntary reduction now
Management is absolute disaster and aimless. Don't quit voluntarily. Just don't comply. Let's see where the cards fall.
Now that RTO rumors are true…is WFR next?
I am hesitant to listen to rumors, but now that the Return to Office rumors are true I am wondering if Workforce Reductions are next.
No RTO email

Michael Dell - About to Retire and Sell Both VMware and Dell Technologies in next 12-18 months
The cutbacks, removal of benefits, of which more will disappear come September when EBA is renegotiated in Australia. Expect to see medical benefits cutback, especially in Australia/Europe are all leading up to the eventual sale of VMware and Dell... — read more
Might be Good Think about it
I dont believe in the RTO rumors here. To many holes. I think it will just be for some groups and directors. Not company wide BUT is there a silver lining? If there is an RTO they may just offer voluntary severance with it.

Is there a future for being an FSE?
they have already got rid of the install work and only break/fix left. I think they will also outsource all the work at some point also because the utilization numbers don't justify keeping so many staff. I think they will keep some FSE staff in... — read more
Is WFR happening next week?
Has anyone heard specifics about WFR? Our group was definitely advised RTO communication will be out on Monday. Generally if you within 1 hour of office, they would like you to come in 1-2 days a week. Out of 11 people on our team, only 3 are... — read more

Tim Cook says layoffs are a ‘last resort’ and not something Apple is considering right now.
This is the way to run a company, employees should not be tossed out to make the bottom line look better and use the cost savings for stock buybacks to inflate the stock price. Shame on you!
That speaks volumes about the atmosphere here
I've been working here for a long time, but I've never, ever experienced more people wishing to be laid off. How did things get this way?
Question about WFH
How many times, working from home, have you actually wished that you were in the office because it might be easier for you to finish a certain task? It happened to me only once, but I quickly overcame that small problem and the work was done as... — read more
How will they monitor RTO

What are the layoff rumors everyone is hearing this week? Feeling really uneasy about things so hoping someone knows something.
An RTO would be a great outcome
We are working with juniors that have never been in an office, never leave their bedroom, are too shy to pick up their phone and too scared on VC to talk up. So a small number of us overworked oldies are carrying the can in nearly... — read more

Management is not leadership
With WFR's out of the way there has been some reshuffling. A few good leaders were given lottery tickets to leave. Unfortunately they have been replaced by managers. People who dont focus on the customer or the business, just on process and ticking... — read more

RTO
Will Dell require people to return to office?
Voluntary severance would be ideal
I think the likelihood that Dell will offer a voluntary offer is almost non-existent. However, maybe the leadership should think about it, because currently there are lots of people who only do the bare minimum, without any motivation and desire to... — read more
