Any tips on how you quiet quit? I would I know if somebody were quiet quitting in today's environment. I want to try these techniques myself!

I did it my last year before retirement in 2019 before 'quiet quitting' was a thing. I just decided to do the workload of most people around me were doing more . Also took every lunch hour instead of working through. They noticed I guess since I was put on PIP for the first time in my 35 year career.
Being employed at Dell means you have quit all real professional skill development with the exception of butt kissing. Make sure you are taking classes and developing real professional skills while getting your check at Dell. One skill you can adopt is realizing the immature gossip and fake data won't cut it in too many companies outside of Dell. Just know when you leave you will be expected to behave like a responsible adult elsewhere and won't make it a day dragging the insanity from Dell into a mature responsible work environment. Detaching yourself from the mental cancer that is Dell and realizing adulthood is required elsewhere may be a mindset you will need to adopt now so you aren't immediately fired when you go to another company.
Staying at Dell is quiet quiting on life. Simply keep showing up and continue to tell leadership what they want to hear instead of reality

Just continue to work hard to maintain your skills, voice an opinion, and work towards maximizing your commission and network....
Management will see you as a risk (unless you are related to leadership or personal friends) and you will be selected soon enough.
The main thing is to not worry about what is "right" or fair" but rather what do you want out of your career? If you want to grow professionally, put hard work in to acheive results and be the best you can be unfortunately there will be a hyena that cant compete with you on skill so will use other means to push you out..
Enjoy the process, it will make you stronger.
Quietly quiting can only happen if your manager doesn't really know what you put out. That being said there are loads of managers that are far separated from process.
Get a second job and do as little at Dell as possible.
Regarding cosying up to managers to get ahead, the new generation of Dell managers understand pie-charts only so are totally reliant on sentiment. The senior, grey corporate type managers may be technically knowledgeable but they're set for life already and happy to let this Titanic sink. Don't be fooled into thinking your part of a team as the stack ranking culture confirms otherwise. Take them for every penny.
Don't be cornered into giving your knowledge and experience away to newbies as it will most likely either go unnoticed or credit will go to your manager for supporting you.
Busy yourself with the more mundane elements of the job and not volunteer for difficult work. Usually only those who cosy up to managers or have "a special place in their (managers) hearts" get ahead anyway.
Yup. Always try to the the WFR package of severance, bonus and unemployment.
Also it's a ding on Dell's taxes and insurance plans to layoff. I would say reputation but dell lost that a long time ago
You'd be better off involuntarily leaving (fired or laid off) than voluntarily leaving (quitting) if you want severance, which you can get a considerable amount of money.
The truth is quiet firing and quiet quitting often go hand in hand.

Start taking lunch and leaving work at 5:00. Stop answering phone and responding to emails after hours and weekends.
