So many people saying the severance is bad (by the down votes) dont seem to know what a bad severance actually looks like.

A company in the Midwest laid people off and paid a 2 week severance and a quarter of a week for every year worked. You had to have at least nine years of tenure before you would get the extra .25 week of pay per year.

That package was roughly 75% less than what Dell offers.

It's not just the VP and SVPs should go. They have buffered themselves with many lower ranking incompetent managers who've made their careers brown-nosing and keeping the status quo.
The tech support teams have been d-mbed down so much and are now so full of kids, they barely know how to triage problems. Unless you are quiet quitting in the hopes of WFR or are satisfied with your salary, I would advise leaving before your skills are completely blunted

I like a bi--h and a moan, but you can't denied Dell does have a good severance package. That package was set like that for a long time before EMC.

Nepotism is rampant with multiple SVPs and VPs blocking and pushing out top talent so they can remain doing bare minimum and avoid doing what’s best for the business.

What you should be pondering after reading that is “what does that say about the cost of keeping those people?”

Considering the number of ongoing trials for unfair dismissal, this amount will increase further...

And the amount for all the state unemployment claims……

Imagine if they cut their useless sets of VPs and SVPs who have minimal experience and got the job because they knew someone. Those are the people they should drop. You don’t need 2000 VPs. Wastes of space.

So? No surprise as DELL is a great company and pays very generous severance to the folks unfortunate to experience WFR..
