I think it’s safe to say that the people who once knew about upcoming layoffs have either been let go or are afraid to speak up. We are now left with a lot of speculation and the waiting period has become unbearable.
2/22 - is this the next big layoff date?
I’ve heard 2/22, 2/29 & 2/15. Does anyone have clarity around the next date? And those that were let go already how was it done? Was it normal 1:1 meeting or other titled meeting?
DOJ waiver for HCSC MA purchase?
Anyone know if it was granted or if it's still a contingency to close the sale?
This is a perfect example of Cigna shooting itself in the foot
2-3 years ago, the work culture was very different here at Cigna. The first shift in Cigna work culture that I noticed was when they gave us all a "Merit Bonus" which robbed everyone of a legitimate merit increase. This means most of us were all... — read more

Buckle Up
Cigna’s SG&A (Expense) ratio has been around 7.5% of revenue the last two years. 2024 is projected to be ~6.1% based on the recent earnings release. This represents a 20% reduction for a company where headcount is the largest SG&A expense.
Work the absolute minimum
Considering how we're being treated by Cigna, it's only fair that we pay the company back in kind. That means don't do anything other than what you have to. No extra effort, no staying late, no doing tasks that are not part of your job description... — read more

Warning about being contacted via LinkedIn

Criteria to Moving to HCSC?
Anyone know how it will be determined if we are part of the "majority" to move over to HCSC after 1/1/25? Who and how do they decide?
Are you seeing shifts on teams supporting MA?
Are certain people getting moved to save them from cuts?

At the office today and there was someone walking around with a clipboard and removing employee names from cubicles. Not sure if the people quit, or if there was another layoff.
Any updates on 2/29?
Does anyone know anything about the layoffs for 2/29 and how bad they might be?
Cigna undervalues its employees
Pay, benefits, treatment...none of that is even close to the quality of employees Cigna has. That's at least true when it comes to my team, but I think that's the situation overall. When you add layoffs into the mix, it's no wonder so many people are... — read more
Who should be looking for a new job?
Directors, management, supervisors, grunts? Claims, case management, tech, legal? Name names if you want. This is going to be an interesting show.
Will MA be included in the next round of lay-offs?
Or will they leave that to be HCSC’s problem? After a while, it doesn’t make financial sense to get rid of some of the MA staff when you can just shove the financial burden of a lay-off on to HCSC.
Talent tier 1, 2, 3…
Wonder what that means. Which tier is more safer when layoffs come?
HCSC Locations & WAH
I was on the page for HCSC and found some troublesome info. Does anyone know if it's true that they only hire for MA in 5 states? Here's the link to that post. If accurate, what are the states? https://www.thelayoff.com/post/@ucrs+1pVBwp0c It also... — read more
