Email after email about organizational changes in Medicare. Does anyone know what is going on? Why this could be happening?

It’s worrisome that some people in the MA space still have no idea what the future is for them. Some have not been told whether or not if they are going to HCSC. At this point maybe they are better off getting laid off now, at least they can collect their severance.
No job guarantee for a year but I do believe if you’re let go from HCSC during the first year, you’ll get severance equivalent to what you would have gotten with Cigna.
Medicare was already gutted. It’s just the dead rotting husk that is being sold off to HCSC. If you’re in MA space get out while you can before Cigna fires you or HCSC does.
HCSC doesn’t offer severance?
@1rpw+1t5OX4Tv You have that wrong. There is NO job guarantee at all. The only thing is pay and benefits will be equal for a year.
Once the sale closes, HCSC can fire you at any time. Or cigna could let you go prior to the sale.
Job guarantee for a year after moving to HCSC. What happens after a year? Scary to think about with NO SEVERANCE?
I’m in Medicare and if I were part of the leadership team with titles such as VP and SVP, I’d be leaving too. You’re at the very top of the ladder going to a company that already has a VP and SVP. Duplications of those roles are not needed.
I really do not want to be snarky but is this for real? Are you the last Medicare employee to find out we are being acquired by HCSC? People leaving isn’t going to be unusual. There will be more.
Mergers and acquisitions have a lot of higher ups jumping ship early. It’s a normal occurrence.
We notice it more as they have fancy announcements when compared to lower level employees.
If we believe the narrative that they are selling to us... All these leaders are choosing to leave for opportunities outside of the company. Maybe we should take this hint and "choose" to leave before HCSC takes over.
Perhaps they were pushed to out make room for HCSC leaders and asked to resign. The we are sold a lie of the choosing to leave.
OR
Perhaps they found out their "leadership" benefits and bonus with HCSC won't be similar to the current disproportionate and unfair Cigna one. You know the bonus that heavily favors leaders while shorting us regular worker... so they are jumping ship.
Either way, I am very suspicious of these changes.
