Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

One inconsequential observation re: Town Hall

It’s so uncomfortable when people completely incapable of relating to others try to act and talk casually, friendly, approachable, charming, funny. So out of place. I haven’t been angry watching it, just felt like I’m observing visitors from another planet desperately trying to mimic humans so they can establish communication.

Honestly I can’t stop thinking about HR leader response to sincere feedback about the impact of her company-wide policies. I guess this is what happens when you put a lawyer with no HR experience in charge? Maybe she’s hoping for lawsuits - job security!

I lmao at this thread. So freaking spot on.

The execs lie and act fake because they think we ignorant plebes buy into it. Iris and LinkedIn is full of people lavishing praise on the execs, even as they actively force them over a barrel. We're finally at a breaking point where people are speaking up and less afraid to lose their jobs - since these jobs have since went to he-l and are being phased out regardless.

No need to fan the ego of the space mutants as they devour us.

The horrific laugh of the HR lady after pronouncing she is a Steelers fan will haunt me for the rest of my life.

I'm not going to excuse the fakeness of HR here because that is what they are for the majority of them. I want to point out this is also applicable to those who are on the spectrum for autism, those who absolutely try their hardest and are amazing people who have overwhelming difficulty with social situations/cues. Not saying that is what happened here but something to keep in mind that for many of us being able to relate or have a conversation just is something you do, for the people on the spectrum who have multiple degrees, can wipe the floor clean with anybody on general knowledge of academic and pop culture subjects, for them it's the greatest struggle there is.

Especially when HR started off responding to a serious question by saying she was a steelers fan.
