How many Medicare employees are there?

How many Medicare employees are there? Will they relocate few of them inside the company before HCSC take over?

Does anyone have any more information related to the confidential agreements made with certain employees to avoid duplication?

The travel component for the jobs posted are for Medicaid not Medicare. I know several people that work for HCSC on the Medicaid side and all band 3 employees and lower had to join the teamsters union last year. I’m wondering if that’ll be the same for Medicare employees also. ?

I don’t think many will be relocated except for some in upper management they’ve already made confidential agreements to keep in order to avoid duplication when HCSC takes over.

HCSC employees are currently upset because PTO has been reduced recently (by two days) and carry-over has been reduced from 5 to 2 days.

Also, I would advise the remote Medicare employees to look at the jobs on HCSC website and see how many of these jobs are actually remote. Especially those in the dreaded case management departments. All of the HCSC CM jobs are not fully remote and have a travel component.

RIF will be unavoidable after the collapse. Even HCSC employees have discussed this. Go look at their forum.

7k employees no way that is high. Maybe around 3-4K employees. I believe hcsc won’t take 7k employees and moreover Cigna Medicare business is not making any profit only have revenue in the range of 5-6 billion dollars. Unfortunately our future is not in right direction.

The plan is that the head count transferring over will be around 6k to 7k. The company stopped internal transfers from Medicare Advantage to any other Cigna department. Of course they will keep who they want and pick off who they want. For the most part though if you’re in Medicare you’re leaving to HCSC.
