Supplier Rate Readiness dept

New leadership, VP’s after J Hobg**d left.. made unnecessary work for Project Managers and Engineers! Don’t get suppliers rate ready, just make a new SIMS IMS excel sheet with 100s of manual entries, make only 5 POB purchase orders allowable from the beginning of the year, sending wrong supply signals to Suppliers, and then reversing course after procurement realizes pushing all the Purchase Orders to 2027, made all the suppliers say, “oh they don’t need the parts now, and slowed First Article process”! All because they wanted all the money available to show to investors on the books. So the VPs of procurement, planning and rate readiness delayed projects by their leadership decisions and will put it all on the Project Managers! The department cant focus on FAIR & if parts are delivered because they’re making new excel sheets with 100s of manual entries, and new PowerPoints with charts that takes focus away from getting parts produced! Project managers now also got to manage the production department deliveries! No focus on getting FAIRS done, just Directors and VPs focused on impressing the CEOs and getting a bonus and promotion!

Worst team you’ve worked with

For me, it's the procurement team. A $1000 payment can go over 6 months without any update. And they always direct me to another team A, and team a pointed me to team B and C. And finally it’s all of these 3 teams. Then they told me the payment is controlled by SHI. When I called SHI, they told me the vendor should have access to the link they provided.
Vendor provided invoice, then PO went to procurement again, one week before the deadline.

I escalated to VP, then they started to chase me down with PO.

What ridiculous

Converse CFO - former CPO?

We are getting a new CFO over here at Converse. How was DS at Nike? Looks like he ran Procurement. Good experiences? Good culture? Bad experiences? Need the details before he ramps us here so know what to expect. Only thing I heard so far was he got rid of people when he joined and the org did not have much direction from him with a lot of people having left or trying to leave. I only know one Procurement person that is over there still so giving the benefit of the doubt maybe he inherited a bad gig?

Need some info before meeting him…

WTF!

I heard about this on our layoff page for my company and how y'all had 100,000 hits on one thread and like 4000 employees asking for your help. I came on here to look and didn't plan on commenting and wondered how y'all let this get this out of control and hurt so many of y'alls employees when this looks like an easy thing to do to gain y'alls employees trust again. Then I remembered the name of y'alls company and called my friend in our procurement and sure enough, y'all are a supplier. So now they are looking at this thinking they shouldn't be. Bless y'all but it seems like y'all should listed to your employees and take care of them. This is just not needed and it hurts what we call your 'brand'. SMH

Yesterday’s equipment for tomorrow

They are ending support for the current corp phones soon. So if you have an iPhone 10, it’s no longer supported. Apple is releasing the iPhone 16 in a few days. But what does EM offer? Yup, an iPhone 14. Why can’t IT or Corporate Procurement negotiate better deals to allow for better dates equipment? Over time, the Corp is both wasting money on upgraded phones and also wasting employees time with subpar equipment. Make it make sense!
