Has anyone heard anything? I’ve been seeing some people leave but don’t know if it’s voluntary or not

It was a bumper year with all the savings through layoffs, keep an eye out on the local newspaper over next few days.

There are 475 people as now, with GBUs, Consulting, etc. The plan is too stay with ca 200. That's massive reduction, much more than 30k spread.

Even when there's good news (revenues up) Dell somehow manages to turn it into bad news (stiffing everyone on raises, IBPs, promotions, more layoffs, etc).

They are growing fast and have a lot of frustrated NG alumni that have left who were always constantly brought down by status quo NG leadership. Hopefully they’re able to pick up anyone looking for coverage. Also I heard leadership here, at NG, is trying to stop them from recruiting 😂.

most countries in EMEA need a month AT THE VERY LEAST before any sort of decisions on headcount can be made. considering that we got informed of consultations with works councils starting just LAST WEEK that doesn't complete the timeframe. stop spreading lies and misinformation and clearly LABEL YOUR POSTS (US / EMEA).

I don’t mind working for a company knowing my number could be drawn at any moment. The pressure doesn’t bother me, at least I have a job.

Dell isn’t “failing” it’s evolving.

I know it su-ks to be the one being gutted and left out. I feel for you as I have experienced it myself. As much as it is painful - there is a higher reason for you being chosen. You are being rescued even though it feels like the rug being ripped under you. You will recover and land in a better spot. You have outgrown the version of yourself at Verizon and excel anywhere you go. Sometimes the universe rips off the bandage and places you where you need to be because you are being complacent. I wish all of you much luck, success, and happiness in your post-Verizon life. I know I found in a company that actually values my opinions and work ethic. Peace be with you all especially all trolls that will come here and comment about me being lazy etc. For their information I found a job before my off-payroll date, started a week after and never took unemployment. 🤣

It’s a Cisco- worldwide issue. The ONLY people being laid off are ICs, certification push is also for ICs, performance improvements are also for ICs,
while managers, directors, VPs slack their way…..
At executive level, nobody cares about having multiple directors/VPs reporting to
Each other. They are too comfortable not needing to lift a finger, why would they ever leave a comfortable job.
We all know nobody directors/ managers are ever on a chopping block.

Amazon recently laid off hundreds of employees in New York. Approximately 135 corporate staff were cut from its Manhattan office in January. Germany-based Evotec plans to close its Framingham, Massachusetts facility. This closure is part of a worldwide downsizing effort. The company expects to lay off 800 workers globally by the end of 2027. The Framingham site houses Cyprotex, which Evotec acquired in 2016. The number of local employees affected by this shutdown remains unknown.

A I-9 audit is in progress. Gainwell is doing their due diligence to ensure all onshore employees are legally employable. Could be setting themselves up for a future sale.

I want to start off saying that the TIAA associates and people I've worked with are great but the silos and Management are running the firm and the associates into the ground which only hurts participants.

Having worked here for a long time until being forced to leave due to Denver closing (not offered relocation) I am astonished how far in the Stone Age TIAA is.

Every business being its own silo prevents learning and keep employees held back when they are trying to find a role outside the firm. It’s easy to believe I had several roles in different areas at TIAA. They teach you just enough to keep you here until a point they don’t need you anymore. Which makes sense why I couldn’t get a job offer elsewhere until being let go having to re-learn same practices and new things not taught due to silos and getting rid of bad habits taught at TIAA.

I couldn’t be happier where I am but am sad that this company is an even bigger dumpster fire after leaving than it was my last few years there.
