IBP modifier and raises data

I'm in ISG. My manager said 2 people in the team had to have 90% IBP modifier. Only 60% of ISG got raises this year. Only 2/3 in my team got raises. I think he was lying because I've seen comments stating 4% raises. Is it the same for your team? What... — read more

Most of this forum is BS...

A post a month or so ago claimed that the raise "buckets" were dogshit. Well I got a 12% raise today. A lot of the "rumors" here do end up being true or semi-true but I've been following this forum for years now and all the layoff scares have 100%... — read more

Your remote request is getting denied..

There it is. I was just told by my manager that senior leadership will be “reviewing” your remote “request” and unless you come up with a reason (ie disability or something legal like that) then you WILL be coming back to the office. Trust me, my... — read more

No careers anymore, just jobs

I believe we are experiencing a final shift towards meaningless jobs with lists of tasks away from having actual careers involving professional accomplishments, rewards and growth. No expertise, knowledge, experience and creative thinking are needed... — read more

Just back from sick leave and all the RTO discussions appear to be overwhelming my team. Have we got space in the office for everyone to return in a hybrid basis?

Ireland remote work bill

Does anyone from Ireland have any insight into how the new right to request remote work bill that was just passed could affect the RTO mandate?

Overseas leaders pushing US out...

This is what has felt like... a hostile take over. My history has been as a very high performer in the US for over a decade with many high level awards. I feel like I have accomplished amazing things here. Well... my job was moved overseas... and... — read more

RTO is just silly and costly affair

I honestly believe it will all fall apart in the end. I am not getting into some crazy office with bare minimum conditions, while having a significant increase in my expenses and decrease in my personal time because of the hours of commute. All of... — read more

Did they just shift the goalpost?

We got told an email would be coming. Then when it came the email said to act on another date a week later Looks like they are falling behind or something is cooking?

From now on, work smarter instead of harder

Do things just so that you can technically say you did your part, but nothing else. No overtime, no weekends, no extra effort whatsoever. I don't see why any of us would do anything outside of exactly what we are paid for considering how little... — read more

RTO Field options

I work in a small global team all 100% remote until last week. Now we are all Field. Is this because we have a good manager (we really do) or some other play to get rid? We are a sales support/business operations support team for DTS.

RTO impact example

Manager here for Dell IT in a group developing AI. I won't be posting any inside information but I do want to share an impact of RTO for a low cost regional IC in hope HR is reading these. She was hired as full time remote. Her work output is as... — read more

Every inch counts

Ladies and gentlemen of Dell, I'm here to talk to you about a game played in the high-rises and office parks across this great nation. I'm talking about the fight between remote work and being chained to an office, the so-called 'return to office'... — read more

Careers Over

Cheers to all the folks that have no choice but remote! Your "careers" are destroyed.

There will be long-term consequences to this

WFH is one of those things that once people have tasted it, it's done. There's no undoing it. Yes, they can force us back into the office but that's also going to result in employee dissatisfaction of unseen proportions. Keeping the best people will... — read more

Milkshake brought all the boys to the yard.

Resist RTO!!!

Resist RTO my fellow warriors of Dell, who have battled in the digital frontier from the confines of your homes. A decree has been cast down by the financial lords of our enterprise, a call to abandon our fortresses of solitude and to gather within... — read more

I don't need a pay bump to leave

A friend asked me recently how much of a pay bump I'd need to consider leaving Dell for another company. He was quite shocked when I told him I'd happily take a pay cut to get out of here. I wasn't joking. The only things I'd need are proof of good... — read more

Don't let them force RTO

If your manager tries to force you to choose hybrid, tell them you're staying remote. Make them fire you. It's better to die on your feet than live on your knees.

Dell acquisition ?

The gain in SP yesterday is larger than HPE and Netapp market cap combined. Must be doing something right.

Why do we need layoffs?

There is a massive brain drain happening and it's been going on for months if not years. The people who are leaving are exactly those the company wants out because they've been here the longest and they're paid the most. With this happening, why do... — read more

Steve Cohen may own Dell...

But he doesn 't own you. Don't give him and his cronies at the hedge funds buying up Dell the satisfaction. Stay remote!
