12k is a lot of people. They need to see how the company is functioning without all of them before they implement even more cuts. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying there will be no more layoffs, just that we're probably safe for a few months before they continue.

Dell is a financial engineering and sales company the happens to sell IT hardware. Everything else is secondary to market share, cash flow, revenue and income.

More layoffs coming in September

Notice Dell is at number 6 but numbers are suppressed.
Predictable layoff cycle makes Dell susceptible to?
my manager said this one is weird as usually HR gives an all clear and they have not yet. we lost one person but he cant say team wide as they have not been told it is all done
Incorrect. There is a round in September where there will be more lay offs. And this will continue into next year for next 18 months confirmed
Unfortunately they do not appear to be concerned how the company is actually functioning.
The only function that they are concerned with is how much can we cut to improve the bottom line. Since AI margins are non existent they want AI sales to be accomplished by bots which are almost no cost once they exist.
It is very very unfortunate the ones in charge and calling the shots now are non technical and inept at making solid business decisions.
they are hiring in 350 college grads into SB and MB by end of fiscal year, that news dropped today
@odi+1tTr0647 Exactly.Place is a sinking ship at this stage.
There isn’t some invisible parent watching over Dell to make sure things are functioning properly.
LoL. No. No innovation there. Only cost cutting.
Just received a 1x1 2 minutes ago- Sales
As if they care about how the company is functioning!
