Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Dell total number of employees in 2024 was 120,000

I hear dell plans to get this down to 100k by the end of the year? That's another 15k WFR on top of what we have so far this year?

With only 30k in USA, should we just move the company to India ? Russians need access to DELL hw - this is the best way to get it.

Micheal wants a 100K people company that yields 100B$ in revenue. Simple.

I believe we were around 125-130k employees about 2 years ago (post-covid).
Rumour was a report was made by one of the high-end consultancy firms in US that a 100-billion company should be able to operate with approx. 100k employees, that would be a "healthy" ratio apparently. That report was delivered to the ELT.
Seeing what happened through 2023 and now in 2024, it's safe to say the thing about that report is no longer a rumour, but reality. With +/- 13k WFR's globally in 2023 and 12,5k WFR happening now again, they're exactly executing to that report as it seems.
