Taking away the drama for a second, the new structure doesnt make immediate sense. But, there would have been many very smart people on this so they must know that and did it for a reason.
We have teams that were all in a good and functioning vertical now reporting all over the geo. Managers above those teams also with reports all over the geo. Segments that share common values, contracts and missions now split into several locations and tiers.
In that change people have adapted with virtual groupings. Customer work cant stop. This is a reflection of the good people+managers that are here.
Its first week in so there will be more as this falls into place. There will be a reason behind this beyond tier one. We have a lot of dedicated people putting faith in a great outcome. Lets see what is next, times like this is when you see the best of people and the not so best.
