This company is an ongoing nightmare
The lashings will continue until morale improves.
Need more leaders to go
The top leaders have little or NO understanding of complete business. Tech leaders don't have understanding of latest technology. I doubt even they did some coding in their careers ? More BA became tech leaders . They should be in Business groups... — read more
Job Grades / Titles
In the interview process with citi, trying to understand the job grade / hierarchy / titles. Is MD grade 16 the highest grade, or are there others? What are the levels right below that i.e. 13, 14, 15? SVP/Director/Senior Director, or something... — read more
Very few people who knows real business
The Tech divisions lack "Business" mindset and very few Business Analysts are able to translate clearly. Recently more BA's are hired offshore which adds oil to the fire. They completely lack the skill to transform the org.
Long Silence !!
Since sometime, it's quick and no Townhall or news on any matters other than the SEC fine.
I know absolutely nothing about running a business but I do know there’s a problem. We can’t seem to keep top talent newly hired.

Why Citi share price is falling ?
Does it mean that investors are not so sure that reorganisation brought promised value?
Next Layoffs
Any rumors on when the next round will happen?
protests?
There are climate protests outside all the time. It can't be a good sign when you're being protested 24/7 and you have to walk through a protest to get to work ... what is going on? What is management doing to respond?
Citi's GenAI summit
Has anyone been to the summit early this week or watch it online? It was organised by citi venture and tech investment banking, I skim through the videos and it seems quite comprehensive, dare I say impressive. What is your view on this objectively?... — read more

Another proof that Citi is full of mo--ns, especially the risk departments... But that is what you get when you do not want to pay top buck for the best risk managers.
After 5+ years of working here, it’s obvious that Citi is banking on, pardon the pun, your desperation for continued employment.
I’m not a smart person or even a wise person. I’m just an average worker bee. After 5 years even I know that this statement rings true that it does not apply to Citi. “Train your people well enough to where they can leave. Treat them well enough... — read more

A bank lacking soul
Citi is a bank with no soul. It is the soulless mega corporation par excellence. Complete with every known and unknown failure of such an organization. Even the consent orders are a symptom of this failure. Because the bank has no soul, it cannot... — read more
As you “get off of the train” and look for employment outside of Citi, don’t underestimate mid size or even smaller companies.
Used to, the midsize to small companies had to offer more pay than the larger companies because they could not give the same benefits. This has shifted. Now, it seems that mid size to small companies ARE offering equal to more benefits than... — read more
Just when I think upper MD’s couldn’t get anymore clueless, they raise the bar.

TheLayoff missing Citi posts
Interesting. There’s been 3 fairly new posts, the latest one over AI and the direction of the company, that’s just up and been purged from this board. Funny how that happens.
Citi treats employees like property
You come into Citi treated like property. There’s no welcome meeting, there’s no “here’s your Citi tshirt and Citi mouse. Welcome to the family.” as small as it may be there’s no such thing. Instead you get: “see if you can login. You can, good... — read more
Does mgmt wake up every day thinking they work for a good company and do a good job?

The talk about AI is just that, talk.
Citi can't even manage it processes and data flows with Excel. The mapping and architecture is patchwork and chaotic. The talk about AI is just that, talk. Not only does Citi not have the resources and knowhow, it would be a complete global risk to... — read more
No wonder why so many people are leaving Citi.

Happy face
Are there people at Citi who can count? Citi is proud to promote carbon neutrality, This is an obvious lie and everyone knows it Nobody cares, you, they, us, nobody actually it does not matter, this company needs to fail
Managers who do nothing else but micromanage others
