$hittyGuy so grrrr...
You mad, bro?

I've visited several other competitor boards here on thelayoff.com. None of them seem to have a $ShittyGuy blathering on and on, and all of them have a much higher quality level of discourse. Coincidence?

Post ID: @nm+1jhn2ejtw Hundreds possibly thousands of $hittybank (And No I am Not tgat guy) employees posted on several threads that eEmployees go to wwww.thelayoff.com to vent, commiserate, air ot their complaints and grievances because they do Not trust HR, "management" and the VOE.
Employees do Not want to be labeled as troublemakers, Debbie Downers or the ones Not drinking the Po!soned $hittybank Koolaid.

As others posted, many elements are connected, feed on and compound the other elements. Layoffs are the result of bad business decisions, toxic culture, toxic and bad managers, Low Salaries, Low or nonexistent bonuses, No In-seat promotions, reduced Benefits (medical, 401k/pension, etc.), etc..

If you do Not want to understand how or why the other variables work or are in play, you will Not understand how, why, when Layoffs are done and who will get affected.

CitiDense, Low Caliber Intellectually challenged employees as usual.

Post ID: @g1+1jhn2ejtw Look in the mirror and ask yourself the same questions. Why are you still at $hittybank And on a commiserating Bash Employers Site www.thelayoff.com???

Other posters have already posted and there are Threads that state Bad "management" decisions, toxic culture, Bad managers, Low salaries, Low or Zero bonuses, Few if any promotions, etc. etc. etc. are All connected together along with Layoffs. All of these factors are interconnected, feed on and compound each other.

It's the quintessential Low Caliber Besotted Oblivious Citi Lovers, "Managers" and HR who can Not see or understand this. With its Low salaries, Low Bonuses etc. $hittybank can Not, Never was and Never will be able to attract the High Caliber employees that GS and JPMC has.

It's true that $hittybank has been able to lure and Svcker former GS and JPMC employees to work for @$hittybank. I've witnessed this myself and have received emails announcing the New Hires in my department. They're the GS, JPMC, BofA and Morgan Rejects who could Not cut it at those successful banks. They were lured away with False promises from $hittybank of the Sun, Moon and Stars (higher salaries, bonuses, promotions, whatever). After 1 year they'll see the honeymoon period is over and they were Sold a Bag of Bull$hit Lies. I've witnessed this happen. It's a vicious cycle.

You all have no idea what’s coming…2025 looks to be a brutal year for Citi. Top Guy Shadman, left today “comp day” which is interesting in itself. Now they say $600MM in layoffs coming…
The reduction in 401k 6% match down to max $12k for people earning over $200k (= salary + bonus) is also a wicked move by Citi to those in that range to try get them to quit without Citi having to pay packages. (You have no idea what pressure and stress those particular people have to suffer to make that $ range at Citi..

Citi’s overall package is one of the industries worst and to start implementing cuts to that is very questionable which is why it must be part of a much bigger plan..!

If they are doing those Sh1tty moves now, just imagine what’s to come in 2025/26.

Some come here thinking they will actually maybe get some good inside information about layoffs at Citi. You know... it's "thelayoff.com" not "bitchandmoan.com."

Post ID: @fp+1jhn2ejtw If you love $hittybank so much why are you reading posts on a Forum called www.thelayoff.com ??? Justin Bieber's song: "If you love yourself so much go Marry Yourself!"

In other words, why waste $hittybank time on www.thelayoff.com ?? Waste it on the Citi Intranet Cheerleading Sites!

@fb+1jhn2ejtw, this forum is more like the bashing Citi forum.
Yes, if you don't like working here for your paycheck, there are other options.
No, I don't work in h/r, but the constant hoping that your company fails is disturbing. Go work somewhere else if you don't want to see Citi succeed.

Hello, Citi HR. Post ID: @f4+1jhn2ejtw This Forum is called www.thelayoff.com .

The connotation and moniker itself mean it's a Forum for commiserating, airing out grievances, complaints and dissatisfactions about Employers.

NO One is Forcing you to Go To and Read the posts on this Forum. There are other Citi Cheerleading Websites (ONLY Found in Cit Intranet) and someone else Reading This Forum will gladly fill your role. No one is indispensable. You will be forgotten. Take your toxicity elsewhere.

@ak+1jhn2ejtw, exactly. Anything positive about Citi, it gets attacked. I don't understand. If you hate the company that you work for that pays your bills and allows you to buy homes and everything else, no one is forcing you stay and be toxic. There are other opportunities and someone else will gladly fill your role. No one is indispensable. You will be forgotten. Take your toxicity elsewhere.

It is good news.
But good news about Citi is generally not received well on this forum.
Expect to be told you work for the secret MS of HR that monitors this board.
