An ex employee who is still friends with many higher ups warned me there are layoffs this Thursday.
I don’t know the validity and am posting simply to see if anyone else has heard this rumor.

Most MDs need to go.
Not really a layoff but the Belfast staff will be paid with both “chips” and “crisps”.
There will be a scale of how much you get per pay period depending on your level.
For example:
C12 will get 30 lbs of chips and 22 lbs of crisps.
C13 will get 30 lbs of chips and 22 lbs of crisps and 15 lbs of fish.
I don't think layoffs are over with. Its already public news that the layoffs will continue until 2026. I know Citi would make it public when their layoffs are over, it would be great for their image. As for Thursday being the layoff date, I do not see it, seems like business as usual, at least in the new jersey office
You guys are extremely delusional. Peter Holden during a TH meeting said that the layoffs are over with.
OP, yes it’s true. Layoffs coming soon around that timeframe.
Post ID: @ay+1jhk960vs, you made us laugh with your “ulcer” comment😁😁
Most are announced on Fridays, because hey, it’s a great way to start a weekend
I find it best to wait and see, then worry about things IF they happen.
If you try to contingency plan for every single issue that may happen, you’ll get an ulcer like my manager.
Citi lays off every year here and there. Sometimes a small batch, sometimes a large batch. Sometimes one region, sometimes more.
There are small, localized layoffs most weeks.
I don't know about a specific day, but I did see an email today from a Senior leader where he referenced "after we get done with the first quarter layoffs". There were quite a few people on the email, none of whom were on HR, and many not in his direct line, so I was surprised he typed that out.
