Can't wait for another effective strategy loaded with buzz words thats been kept secret till now. CDW-G is still struggling from the last go to market idea.
Layoffs confirmed
Yes more layoffs confirmed 4th quarter some notices already went out. Jobs going overseas.
Should we be worried?
Knowing earnings are this week, should we be worried about a layoff coming with it? Part of me thinks it’s not going to be until the new year, but with so many other companies announcing layoffs, I’m not sure if we wait.
More Shuffling in the C-Suite
Sona Chowla exiting, Chris Corley as well, more conglomeration at the top with people leading combined departments. Tariff pressure coming down the pike and probably foreseeing a dip in stock price so those pay packages aren’t as appealing. But don’t... — read more
More layoff coming
Sadly looks like more layoffs coming. Some Procurement and Customer Service roles will be going overseas. Also, more layouts in Sales. Moral is brutal at best and Sr. Leadership has a disconnect with their sales force.
milestone anniversary awards gone?
well.. the good options anyways, gone are the good options like the airline/hotel giftcard, tiffany's jewelry, or even a giftcard to cdw itself (giftcards to anywhere are no longer an option). 10 years at the company (my friend who had their 20 year... — read more
CFA's in Small Business
Dont count unless you have OT Opps attached to them? They are really trying to make it harder to meet metrics arnt they? Seems like a pre cursor for them to excuse you from your role since you didnt hit their "metrics".
Anyone want a good laugh?

Prior Severance Packages - What was included?
Curious to know what other people got in the past, if they negotiated, and how that process went.
First anniversary of the October 2nd 2024 layoffs
A year passed by after bitter memories of early morning email followed by a mechanical layoff meeting with the VP and HR. There was no appreciation what you have done. The interesting part was I was very active with multiple projects at that time! ... — read more
A Thoughtful Approach to Workforce Reduction
When organizations face the difficult decision of reducing headcount, it’s important to balance business needs with employee well-being. Instead of removing people randomly, one approach could be to create a “wishlist” where employees can voluntarily... — read more
Stock is Tanking
How much longer must we wait before Leahy is fired? She has destroyed the company.
Is it right to lay off a worker fighting cancer?
This place would lay off a man on life support if it meant another dime for the shareholders. That’s the culture. Maybe I’ll be gone soon enough myself, but I sure as he-l hope the suits upstairs get a taste of the same when their time comes. No one... — read more
keep him away
one thing i used to enjoy in corporate sales was the little game of keeping managers away from customers. it was never about being mean, it was about survival. a manager in a meeting could turn a smooth sales call into chaos. they would talk too... — read more
a brilliant move!
execs came up with a brilliant move... let's cut the people with decades of experience, the ones who stopped the place from collapsing every time a vp brought in their latest tedtalk strategy. cause (obviously) performance has nothing to do with... — read more
New Job Postings but with Much Lower Pay
After CDW basically wiped out a department and lost years of expertise and experience, they are now re-hiring for those roles, but at near entry-level pay. That is the strategy--layoff experienced coworkers who have been dedicated to CDW for 10 years... — read more
Anyone else get that Workday work satisfaction survey?
Wondering if that's a soft ask/getting feedback for those they think might be open for voluntary layoffs........
Unlike this board, the stock market doesn’t lie
CDW’s is now officially dead money — the stock is down ~25% over the past year while the S&P 500 is up 16%, and Q2 showed revenue up 10% on a layup of a number reset but operating income was down 3% thanks to “margin pressure”. Hard to get excited... — read more
Not a good place to work
Highly suggest not to work for CDW. They used to sell technology to consumers, and now started selling services which they are not good at either. Not a consulting company but a part seller. Don't waste your career time working for or with CDW. This... — read more
Another Round of Layoffs coming to a Ex-Co-Worker near you
Here we go again
My workload increased significantly since the last round of layoffs
I guess this their plan. Get rid of people, give their work to others, threaten they'll be fired if they refuse, profit.
Why are there suddenly job postings on LinkedIn for jobs that were eliminated last month?
I just had a former CDW coworker let me know that the jobs of a few people who were let go in July are now posted on LinkedIn. These were longer-term coworkers who were making a clear and critical impact for CDW who were let go--all of them in their... — read more

Some thoughts and research to consider regarding employee decisions in this company or others.

How much will be made off of the Olympics

More layoffs in August
Is this happening?
This is the CDW Cry Baby board. Here is some tough love.
It’s a cut-throat world. Work hard, exceed your measurements or add > 5X your cost to GP, keep your skills relevant, KEEP YOUR JOB. Don’t do all that, GET LAID OFF. The people who are on this board complaining but are still at CDW-guarantee you’re... — read more

Voluntary Layoffs
Offer them. Plenty of us out here that would accept a severance package to leave in a heartbeat. I personally know of a half dozen coworkers that would sign on the dotted line right now for one reason or the other if offered.
CDW feels like a lost cause
Sure, the people at the top are still getting plenty out of it. As long as the bonuses keep coming, pay keeps rising, and shareholders stay happy, everything seems fine. For them. But they don’t seem to think beyond that, or care much about those of... — read more
As the dust clears
As the dust settles from last week's layoffs, this is my assessment. First, those who were laid off in many instances had 20 years or more of experience at CDW. That in itself should be revealing, considering the time you invested in earning... — read more

What's the plan here?
I used to think I just wasn’t picking up on the plan, like maybe I missed a memo or something. But after a few years here, I’m pretty sure there isn’t one. We lurch from one priority to the next with no real thread connecting anything. I’ve stopped... — read more
Cutting ties with content marketing vendors?
Curious if anyone has information about if CDW will be cutting ties with content marketing vendors such as Studio North agency or Manifest?
Unionization?
Should we consider unionizing to help save the remaining jobs? Are there any tech or companies like ours that are unionized ?
Do not Sign anything!!!
You don't have 48hr to sign, don't let them pressure you. You have 2yrs. Get yourself a lawyer and get what you deserve. 3 months salary and benefits for 6 months is rubbish for 15+ years of service.
Severance negotiations
Is negotiating the severance by yourself working or do you have to have an attorney for them to take it serious? We were only given a couple days to sign the document so have to act fast.
Manifest agency's future and their CDW account
Thoughts on the future of Manifest agency since the CDW layoffs included a key marketing director? CDW is Manifest 's largest and key accounts. I'm worried about CDW dropping Manifest as a marketing partner.
