RIF Selection Question for People Leaders

I know this question may have been asked in the past but I never had clarity. Who is making the decision on who stays and who leaves? Are the people leaders involved? Staff VP? What are the driving factors? Salary, performance?

Does anyone know if the coming RTO mandate means that remote teams will be dismantled? If the reporting structure is going to change to reporting to a leader in your local office?

So glad I’m retired

After reading these posts I think I am one of the lucky ones who had a full career at Anthem. I feel bad for the folks with 10+ years to go. It’s depressing to read about RIF after RIF. I wish everyone the best of luck
