I'm reading posts on this page talking about the company changing its name. Has anyone heard this?

We can name the company Y since X is already a company name. Maybe we can tell the markets we are a tech company and fool them into buying stock.
Any update on the name change?
Let's save some money and just keep the name the same.
UHG?
I'm guessing new name will be "HeadWinds"
Oh come on. It's obviously changing to "flywheel".
Anthem Wellpoint, Anthem, Elevance....... Anthem.... i'm betting Anthem again.
They will probably announce the new name at the next shareholder meeting.
Again? Im just now getting used to "elevance"
I'm still waiting for the announcement of the new name.
@bc , You are correct in that anyone could buy EH but with over-regulation, broken demographics and financing, nobody outside of healthcare is going to touch EH.
I just retired from this place - didn't have to - and probably would have stayed a couple more years - but this place is a chit show and there is no improvement in sight. No one cares about employees - the word toxic is in every post all over this site - never been happier to leave and I have plenty of company - they just have not revealed it to the "powers that be" yet - this toxic place will soon find out how much historical knowledge they are about to lose on top of those gone already - it takes at least 1 yr to figure out this place - and no one is recommending it - when they force everyone RTO it will be a huge mistake -
I don't think any of us are retiring from this place.
Post ID: @ah+1jww32j0f. You sound like an M&A expert. The business can be merged or acquired by a number of suiters. You seem to think only a company in healthcare would buy us. Over the past few years, the business is aligning itself to be sold. This is a real possibility. Companies have a fiduciary responsibility to look at all merger or sales opportunities that would benefit the shareholders. Do you know the name of the M&A firm that works for us?
No one could buy elevance that is already in the health sector, it’s an insane suggestion and devalues the legitimacy of the posts here.
The new name would be WalEvance
Walgreens could buy us. CVS bought Aetna.
Sold to whom? Antitrust would make that nearly impossible.
If the company is sold, the name will change, and the CEO will be gone. I'm betting on the company being sold.
It was already changed under this ceo it’s not going to change under the same one…
