Topics regarding layoffs at HCSC (Health Care Service Corporation)

Ran the #’s

I did a quick calc of my work hours in 2024 and 2025. I’m going to be working 1% more in 25. The April 1% pay raise is wasn’t really because you all worked so hard. It was Maurice making you whole for taking your PTO in July. If you think... — read more

Most unethical place

Good luck attracting younger talent. Exit interview was pointless. Do your managers come in 3 days a week? Are you teaching your director who makes triple your salary how to PRINT? Thank God I didn't waste my time. Bologna.

HCSC is a SCAM

never even heard of this company. It's not blue Cross and blue shield. It's a white organization trying to pander to minorities with African American "leaders". I can't afford my meds and they don't care. I can't afford parking and they don't care... — read more

Worth it!

I think the angry people are the minority. I don't care how many of our vacation days they take away, its worth it to work at one of the worlds most ethical companies!!! Whose with me, team?

Are you kidding?!

So PTO accrual, PSWD, etc are updated on HR. A new hire (hire date of 7/1-11/30) is given the full 7 PSWD/WDD for 2024. So given that veteran EEs have likely all used their 7 days, a new hire can start 2025 in a much better position than seasoned... — read more

Boycott Blue Pulse

If they cared about our opinion they would act on the overwhelming complaints they are getting for taking away MORE of our PTO. Yes, more. Last year they took 1 day to "comply" with the Federal Holiday. The true results are never revealed anyway... — read more

My understanding of the PTO events

TLDR: HCSC leadership strategically planned for employees to use up their PTO in 2024 to minimize carryover into 2025, prioritizing company PTO obligations over employee well-being during potential layoffs. In November 2023, an ordinance was passed... — read more

Leave negative reviews on Glassdoor

Hey everyone, I know that we are doing our best to complain to our bosses, upper management, look for new jobs, etc. However, if you have the time, leave a negative review on Glassdoor now (it's anonymous). If they want people to quit, that's one... — read more

HCSC Is Still Lying

I just got off of a call with the Vice President of Total Rewards that was for lower level leaders to ask questions. Even though it lasted an hour, a lot of our questions went unanswered. He couldn't explain why HCSC waited until now to tell us that... — read more

My future is not with HCSC

I can no longer recommend this company to friends. I can no longer say I work for a company that cares about its employees. I will no longer go above and beyond for a company that does not go above and beyond for me. I will now begin updating my... — read more

Unlimited PTO

Fun fact: The C-Suite execs don't even have to enter any PTO into Workday at all, it is unlimited for them. This might help explain why they are so detached from the impacts of this recent change to all of the working class people below them.

What day are we all going to call in sick?

Some have suggested tomorrow, July 5 but I think it needs to be further out so we have more participation. Friday will be a slow day anyway. The day chosen needs to have impact. Hurt the powers that be. I would also suggest we not log on to the... — read more

PTO Changes

Enjoy having two fewer days off, and changing the rollover policy mid-year so anyone who has already used their diversity days this year gets the shaft.

What claims system do you use there? Should we welcome the idea of possibly being moved over to HCSC? Or should we run?
